Herbert is right about re-usability of cyber truck platform but IMO would be more likely for commercial delivery van. I would also love to see an 8 seat Cyber-SUV
Ответитьpodcast on wheels, not something i' would watch
ОтветитьNobody knows the real cost of mass producing the cybertruck and won't until next year. (I know the first appearances may be third quarter this year.)
Elements of the cybertruck may prove really advantageous in the model 2. These include a tough exterior, no fragility and cost of paint (The best part is no part!), and potential extra simplicity to produce. Herbert may be right!
If you listen to Cory Steuben, the Cybertruck is built analogous to the Texas Model Y. The steel plates are screwed on, no exosceleton. And built similiar to unboxed construction of Model 2. So it’s going to be exceptionally sturdy, and no paint. You could build a van on the CT skateboard. But not Model 2, which has to have mass market appeal, middle of the road appearance. Not steel plates. But I think that any of the Tesla cars can serve as robotaxi, no need for extra construction.
ОтветитьIn the end, Farzad turned on his BS generator …😂😂
ОтветитьSince the "model 2" as people are calling it is going to be a smaller SUV than the model Y obviously they will be building on a chassis smaller than the Model Y, more like a model 3. I can't see the robo taxi being any bigger than the model Y.
Ответитьit would be wounderfull to have a cybervan.
ОтветитьThe mode 2 shoukd be a hatchback high on the back, is way more practical than a samll swdan.
ОтветитьYou know how Elon keeps talking about slow and safe the robots are..wait until he puts the bot behind the wheel of a CT. Think terminator!
ОтветитьThink about this. Do your stainless steel pots look like folded origami? The bent metal shape of cybertruck is the result of the exoskeleton as a structural component, not a requirement due to stainless steel as a material. It is possible to shape thinner stainless (e.g. by hydroforming). Stainless steel is ductile. It can be shaped into panels that would fit the profile shown in the presentation.
ОтветитьNo i think the Van Will be on the cybertruck plattform and not the little Model. I think the van Will be a hybrid of cybertruck. 2.5 million vans and 1.5 million cybertrucks. Thats quite good 👍 and reducing the models coppar by 75% as they want with the help of the new batteries coming will save them 10 billion usd per year until 2030. Buying a next gen car with 25-30k it’s no brainier to add FSD and wanting to pay for it !
ОтветитьI think the cyber truck will be the first RL Autobot! It will transform into Optimus Prime! lol
I know, it's a crazy idea.... but Tesla was a crazy idea to begin with! Look at them now!
Beautiful closing music Farhad! It lit me up! What is it?
ОтветитьThe London EV cab is much closer to a mini van than car…
ОтветитьLet her rip Farzad
ОтветитьFarzad, I love the relaxed, laid back format of your videos, without all the hyperbole, bluster and testosterone. I also like the almost philosophical aspect... we can gather hard data from the rear view mirror with analysts who review what we already know. I like your approach where you look at the indicators and speculate on where Tesla may be going. Cheers!!
ОтветитьSo you think the robo taxi is going to be more like a shuttle van? Interesting, i hadn't thought of that but you might be correct. You can fit 4-6 people or more in a shuttle van comfortably. They could actually make several different models if they want but i'm sure they'll do whichever is the most cost effective.
ОтветитьBased on what Elon said at the shareholders meeting, I’m concerned it’s going to be much more than the original suggested pricing. If the top trim, with the 500 mile range is $100k plus, sales are not going to be what we hoped for.😂
ОтветитьThe CT platform has way more bandwidth than an average consumer would need or use. It can spawn its on family. Sportutes, van etc. They'll probably wind up with more capacity than they'll be afore to fill for years with just the truck.
ОтветитьRecent investor day said, the next gen “25k” car will be built like the cybertruck. Herbert is right, the next gen engineering principles start with cybertruck and bleed out into compact car.
ОтветитьTom Zhu said Paint is expensive ...
Ответитьidk if the CAR will be on this ... the next one... the VAN will be and it was listed with it on the chart they showed.
Ответитьthe car will just be FUlly Pressed. like a hot wheel... instead of steel. the van will be tho
ОтветитьHonestly the CyberTruck is not designed in such a way that it will crush the Ford F150, Dodge Ram and Chevy Silverado. The CyberTruck is not a direct alternative. IF Tesla ever does go after selling 1 million pickups a year, they will need to create another vehicle. Pickup truck buyers want very specific things from their trucks. Including a certain look. I don't know if Tesla will do that anytime in the next 7-8 years. They are on a different path right now.
ОтветитьOf course someone can damage the stainless steel. Does Herbert think stainless steel is some magical material? It’s just steel that does not rust.
ОтветитьAll hype.
ОтветитьI like how you think.
Any news on the Boron steel frame?
Oh, Farzad's still calling it an exoskeleton?
Cybertruck is mostly next gen construction already. Steering by wire included.
ОтветитьI think a useful option for the Robotaxi will be a super-cheap rate if you agree to allow the AI to pick the most efficient route while picking up multiple passengers along the way. The other option would be to pay double per trip, but you travel alone, direct point to point.
ОтветитьInteresting-great points from both viewpoints. Can’t wait to see! Can’t wait to get my CT!
ОтветитьI would totally buy a cybervan!
ОтветитьEveryone. Please. It’s Elon Musk. What ideas, innovations, technologies, etc… have “come to light”/ developed/ improved/ been created since not only Cybertruck was envisioned, but deposits made, but casting made/ delivered, and now produced???
48V??? For sure!!! Semi! Cybervan! Cybertruck! Whatever!!!
Plus! I’m just a normal citizen with minimal Tesla investments/ cash reserves.
I took 5 reservations because I knew FOR SURE the value in Robotaxis/ rentals would be monumental!!!
6 seats LA- Vegas/ 4X a day!!! $25/ seat x 6 x 4 trips= $600/ day! Tesla cut (30%)= $200. $400 for me/ day minus charging/ tires/ breaks= $360/day x 30 days= $10,800/ month x 5 Cybertrucks= $54,000/ month!!!
HA!!! HAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!!!!
Donezo!!!!
🦾All in on TSLA ⚡
ОтветитьGreat ideas spitted !! We will go Back to the Nomadic lifestyles roaming the planet in a self driving cyber van . Love it
ОтветитьYou two might be right...
ОтветитьBrothels?
ОтветитьI'm guessing the Tesla van will compete with VW's camper/transporter van
ОтветитьThat is why I ordered two Cybertrucks, despite using a car like once a month.
ОтветитьI think people are waiting too much on FSD, but in my opinion all companies will have it in by 2030, and this will be standard when you buy a car. Right now if it comes tomorrow, the car is safe but what about the bad drivers that cause almost all accidents? It is trick it don’t depend just on a good software but in a good drivers to this work properly.
ОтветитьThe reason why they abandoned most likely was production cost, obviously.
ОтветитьThey already said the new 4th gen platform will start with the Cybertruck.
ОтветитьHi Herbert! You know, maybe the next Tesla car might not be stainless steel, who knows. But hey, maybe the Cybervan, will be for so many reasons. It's a bigger vehicle so it just might be built on the Cybertruck platform (less cost of desingnig). More space for big battery, longer roofline for solar panels. Elon did say he would not consider solar panels on a car, not enough space. But a van maybe, because of the longer roofline (more mile per charge). Also it's almost a natural to follow the Cybertruck design language on a van just adapt the Cybertruck to a Cybervan form. So that would lead to the goal Tesla has on bringing down manufacturing cost on the Cybertruck. The TAM would probably double on pratically the same vehicle. The more stainless steel purchsased the less expensive it get's. The same goes for the rest of the parts. Actually we'd be talking a page out the ford or chevy book converting their pickup into a SUV, back in who knows when. We would just do a van instead of an SUV. The van needs to take a beating, no paint, it's made out of steel(indestructible) Who knows they could start doing at least some of the "un boxed method" I also have a gut feeling but I think c Cybertruck and Cybervan will built using some form of "un boxed" method. It's hard to believe they will not take advantage out of this opportunity. Thanks for what you do it's great!
ОтветитьThey make mini bus based on cyber truck platform. (Hop on hop off automated bus)
And model 2 is a new way to build the car.
Here's my take. Tesla has never been afraid to raise prices if the demand allows it and they have years of built-in demand via reservations. Also, I would guess that most people opted to lock in the FSD with their reservation which has already 2X in price. I think they will ask a premium over the competition until demand starts to slow in a couple of years and new customers have to pay current FSD prices. I predict near $100 000 for a tri-motor version. That seems realistic to me.
ОтветитьCooking show podcast in a car? I vote yes.
ОтветитьTesla is willing to pivot and pivot and pivot
ОтветитьI agree, I predict a cyber car, very DeLorean ish.
Ответить
