It's beautiful 😣😭
ОтветитьA “pick and place” type tool head would be cool for including hardware like a nut into a print automatically.
ОтветитьLike the idea and design of this printer, so glad to see high concepts of 3D Printers are coming to hobbyists, as always thank you Joel bring it to us in your unique way.
ОтветитьReminds me the the HP 4 color pen plotter I used years ago. The arm would put away the current color pen it was using, and then grab then next pen color and begin drawing in that color. I'm glad E3D is now taking that concept to 3D printers!
And I REALLY like the idea of it being a standard that Lulzbot and others implement and that we could have interchanging tool heads (that's something that the pen plotter certainly did not have)!
I think I actually like the background audio like that, it makes it seem more real since there is clearly that kind of noise around you.
ОтветитьCan you make a review of what is happening with the obsidian 3d printer form Kodama
ОтветитьModular? I love modular systems.
ОтветитьThis comes a week or two after I decide I will not buy anything I don't really really need. I'm still tempted to get it. I don't remember anyone saying what the print quality is like.
ОтветитьCobine this with the 3 way leveling bed printer and were getting somewhere.
ОтветитьTAKE MY MONEY!! This reminds a lot of a pick and place, but for toolheads. VERY neat.
ОтветитьUsing magnetic latching, already in firmware.
Looks like it just needs a start script g-code to swap nozzles, and the firmware already has that too.
My thoughts, it's about time!!!!!!
Experience with 12'×5' wood router table. Komo cnc and scm group cnc.
What in the world happened to the side of his face? Looks like he got mauled by a bear
ОтветитьGreat interviews!
ОтветитьHardware looks great, but it's important to be cautious on any new initiative until the core bugs and pricing have been worked out. Note that their Big Box project was not successful.
I wished we could have gotten a glimpse of the software and code required to manage colors and interchangeable components. Are they creating a new Marlin fork (Marlin is already legacy - maybe new OS) for example, and who will finally develop software making it easy to incorporate multi-colors and materials? Can't rely on the compassion of the open source community.
Convenience will be the key if the product is to be used in a professional milieu, but hobbyists should have a blast!
I like these guys a lot, have only so spoken too them once and only placed one order so far but I'm impressed.
ОтветитьGreat idea. sounds like the way too go.. however that guy is a bit of annoying prick. I would rather of heard from the guy standing in the corner that designed it. And honestly i am a design engineer, and i modified my old rapman to do this for under £100 how can they justify the cost.
ОтветитьThat is cool.
Ответитьis this the prusa killer ? and what a machine and made in britain aswell next Gen or what people
Ответитьnice
Ответитьthis tool changer is a gamer changer! Also interesting that Prusa Research is not in boat by developing this as an open platform. But to be honest this design is so much better than any Prusa printer.
ОтветитьGotta love Sanjay. I'm just some random guy who walked up to him at MRRF and asked a question, and he gave me as much info and showed as much enthusiasm as he did in this interview. E3D are the real deal, I'm using their Titan extruders on my printers, and along with their hotends, have totally eliminated all extrusion problems, which used to be rampant with generic parts.
ОтветитьHopefully they keep this one unlike the bigbox
Ответить200k subs. Let's go!😂😂
ОтветитьDang, I totally wanted a physics lesson on kinematic couplings....
ОтветитьThanks Joel! Just what I asked for.
ОтветитьThis reminds me of my old pen based plotter for technical drawings.
Row of pens up the side of the plotter and when you changed colour it would drop the previous pen off in its slot and then go grab the next coloured pen and resume drawing.
Definitely the time to start getting some open standards happening. I LUV the tool changing concept, best of luck E3D
Ответить1000 is a good price, if its a complete printer not a project ...
ОтветитьCool joel
ОтветитьThis printer is way out of my budget but I'm really excited about it and what it's going to allow the community to do in the future. I think it would be cool if they would offer an "Introductory" printer package with a single tool head and then you can buy additional tool heads separately as you have money for them.
ОтветитьThe design of that printer looks quite similar to my Eclips3D2, but with a repositioned idler and the tool changing of course! I wonder if they took any inspiration from it!
ОтветитьGreat video Joel, thanks so much for stopping by to chat!
ОтветитьTake my money
ОтветитьWill be very interesting to see how this tech will compete against Prusa Research trying to use the purge block as infill for your prints.
Ответитьthe timer is a nice touch. so smooth, smooth to the touch. *drools
Ответитьwatch out for a flurry of tool changer mechanisms on thingyverse - cant wait!!!
However the software and electronics? that side of things should be interesting...
i'm always to late... that frame design is scary close to the frame i am designing... back to the drawing board i guess... Dont want e3d to sue me.
ОтветитьYes! I was wait for a normal toolchanging soooo looong!!!
ОтветитьMe likey that multi toolhead one, how much? By the way I like a boss that gives due credit to their employees.
Ответитьthese company's need to FUCKING STOP!!! making them better. and start making them cheaper.
only people who deserve death by my hand. are going to pay 1000 bucks for a 3d printer.
i am fine with making a 1000 dollar high quality version of whatever they designed but for fucks sake. stop letting the fucking chinese clone these things.
the price point to aim for is 400 dollar MAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
make that the standard and then make a + model with all the high quality parts.
Hmm. A tool carriage and a direct extruder tool, or rather 2 of those, would be nice for the printer I’m aiming to build at some point. To be able to be integrated with my design. If it’s as open and modular as they promise, that should be a possibility. Hope so!
ОтветитьAre the parts going to be open source so that we can build our own printer and just buy the tools from E3D
ОтветитьSanjay is High mate!
ОтветитьSo, IC 3D is likely to be made in China in order to lower cost?
ОтветитьNow as funky as the CEO is as great of a leader he is. This is a Leader and not a boss. Someone who is proud of their team and show's off everything they have done to make a difference in the market. Love it.
ОтветитьInstead of talking you should rather sent me my package from UK. Quick !!! My engeniring and motivation seeking part of me still loves you because this vidjeo is soo nice.
ОтветитьWhat would happen if someone used chimeras on every one of the toolheads
Ответитьhow is this not the default multi material/color printer type yet?
Ответить
