I dont understand why need to reverse and get lifted. Why not drive straight in and have a sunken battery lifted up. That should be an even faster option. In my opinion, naa 55

So how do you handle bolt heads with lots of dirt on them? Also the laser measuring the distance will be crippled where scanned areas are covered with dust and mud! From the 3D illustration none of these issues are shown which proves this version to be unreliable.

How long does it take to swap a battery?

How come the 2.0 can’t enter from the back and exit the front?

As NIO car ownership exponentially grows , will these battery swap stations that can handle 312 swaps per day be enough to accommodate more users? I know there is a deal to increase more swap stations but currently watching how these swap stations operate filmed by actually nio users, seems to have a lot of wait time.

Nio would have to own the battery packs. No way I would risk swapping my $15K battery pack for another battery pack of unknown quality. I am already loath to swap LPG bottles, especially since they can flag yours "too old, no core refund".

What if there is a railing system in the car that the battery pack slides and can be swapped from the back of the car. Could reduce the time spent on swapping?

But how does this work? You buy a car without a battery and always only do something like rent a battery? Who will pay for battery degradation? How you can ensure that you get the same battery as yours and not some which are 5 years older or damaged? And opposite, who will prevent me to drive there with my old battery and swap for a new one for free?

I have a large position accumulated between 7.7-9 this summer and I must admit that despite my 30 years of experience in asset management I did not see the correction from 16 to today's levels coming. I think this decline will only stop when they (the shorts) have decided to do so. the fact that a good number of news are not (voluntarily) relayed by Bloomberg obviously does not help. However, from my point of view, NIO has extremely significant upside potential that many underestimate. It works really well in practice, and with the BaaS agreement it's free of charge. A highly impressive solution.

Nio should STOP building these battery swap stations coz battery technology has improved so much that 500-1000 km range has now become standard, with recharging time could be as little as 15minutes. Stop burning your cash. Pay us some dividends instead & jack up Nio stock price.

If they build this in America, then maybe(just maybe) I’ll think about buying an EV.

Total garbage in a can, unless you keep enough batteries in the station to be able to swap as soon as the next customer arrives. If the battery can be swapped in say 5 minutes but takes 6 hours to reach full charge in the station the math says 72 batteries need to be charging at a massive load on the power grid. The numbers just don't allow this system to function in high demand situations.

I've had this idea in my head for over 20 years. As solves range anxiety.
I've emailed many energy companies and car manufactures about it, but no one replied or bothered to do it. Good to see Nio are leading the way!

How is dirt managed? That's a lot of moving parts and especially in winter with salted roads. How is this managed? Can this be done without the driver sitting in their car? Seems like an unnecessary risk. How is fire safety done? Do ye use halon fire suppression? Chemical fires are tricky, I have so many questions and maybe a few tips on things I've been thinking about myself.
