If characters like Omega Red, Silver Samurai, Iron Man, Shuma Gorath, and Blackheart were in this game, they would've most likely been assist characters.
Iron Man would use his unibeam like Cyclops' optic blast and Magneto's EM disruptor, and Silver Samurai would run across the screen swinging his sword in a flurry like Rogue's flurry punch and Psylocke's psi crash.

An arcade place opened at the mall recently, and I was so stoked when I saw this game in the arcades! I played this game for several minutes until I beat it. I love this game!

In all my time of playing this game, I've never done the double team combo.

What i miss about the older games is playing through with each character and unlocking a new character.

the only thing I don´t like about these fighting games are the constant screen flashes with these unnecessary sprite effects - 2 good examples are Double Dragon and Renegade.. no flashes

This brings me back to my community college years.

My local Fiesta market used to have Marvel Vs Capcom 1 everytime my mom went to go get groceries. Good times.

I remember one day I got home from school and saw a bunch of quarters by our apartment door entrance and the first thing I did was run to the corner market and waste them on this game, got my ass whoop when my moms got home cause they were meant for laundry day lol

We had an arcade in the rec room when I was in College and this was one of the games. Also someone had a GameCube hooked up to a large TV.

Timing is the key to win

I played this awesome game back in 1998, when I was travelling by ship to Crete. They had those "coin eaters" on the 2nd deck of the ship. Wonderful years!

Recent ones are much fake and slow

man, what happened to the game industry, they don't make fighting games like this anymore

This and Tekken 3 were the first two fighting games that I ever played as a kid. I get so many fond memories hearing the music and seeing this.

This will all way be my favorite 2d fighting game.
