I'm convinced as we get older the cold gets to us more. That's why these guys can handle it in their 20's and 30's plus the adrenalin gets going. I remember playing as a teen and rubbing vasoline on our arms to combat the cold. Not sure it actually worked though! The colded NFL game I attending was Giants/Cowboys at Yankee Stadium and the usher (yes, back then someone showed us to our seat) chopped ice of the seats so we could sit, which we didn't. I remember we were field level and the melting ice dripping down on us from the overhang of the mezzanine level above. We managed to stay the entire game though!
