ОтветитьI tries to learn theory before and couldnt comprehend it and how to put it into practice on my guitar.
This series reignited my passion to learn it and so far im loving it.
I have learned so much and understood and actually put this into practice and i can finally say im starting to understand my guitar and how it works.
Thanks Paul. You’re a legend!
I watched 1 till this video. Stopping for the moment right now. Need to digest and practice. But hey, I wished someone taught me this when I was in highschool when I started learning guitar by listening and copying what people do without understanding at all. Thanks for the explanations!
ОтветитьOh no, the blazer is gone…
ОтветитьI thought when creating a minor chord we drop the third but here the third note is the same in the minor and major scales
ОтветитьThis series is so perfect. I learned music theory to fill in my gaps when I thought I needed it but hadn’t watched it in this order. Best way to learn and become a guitarist that doesn’t get stuck
Ответитьjust a little to fast there Paul. Otherwise very nice.
ОтветитьHoly shit it al makes sense.
ОтветитьI love this!
Ответитьuwu
ОтветитьNever known this in my entire life. Thank you so much sir. Learning under your guidance is a blessing. You are amazing. Keep it up, sir.
ОтветитьHe didn’t say the intro catchphrase :(
ОтветитьHi, great video. I thought minor second and major second are the same note. Because the second note of a major or minor scale are alwaxys one whole step apart....
ОтветитьAwesome
Ответитьwish i'd had resources like this when i was first learning guitar, I've learned more in the past couple weeks going through your videos than I have in 17 years of playing. So many concepts that felt completely intangible are now something I'm able to intuitively apply to the music I'm playing and listening to. Thank you.
ОтветитьMajor 6th. Two of us wearing raincoats
ОтветитьUr a real patriot
ОтветитьHey, I´m currently starting to get more into the theory (after 17 years of playing).
There is one thing I don´t understand:
There is for example a major second and a minor second
But
The minor second in relation to the root, doesn´t even ocur in the minor scale of the root?
Why is that? Why is it called minor then?
To ne more specific:
To the A note, the minor second would be an A-sharp/B-diminished.
In the A-minor scale the A-sharp/B-diminished don´t ocur?
The second of the A- minor is B? (Or is it?)
Can you explain that please? I struggle a lot there... :(
Hi,
I have a question that baffles me and would require clarity on.
The interval for a minor scale is whwwhww and for a major scale is wwhwwwh as far as I know.
However transposing this theory to the open string on standard tuned guitar if m1 is open A string how come the first fret corresponds to m2, and fret 3 to m3 on a diatonic scale.
Going by the above theory of interval m2 and M2 should be the same 2nd fret of string A?
Kindly excuse my ignorance on this matter.
Regards
Mervyn
I shared with my mom and she told me to get my diminished 5th out of her face lol
ОтветитьNicely done as everything else you do… educational and with a good taste on production and script… you mentioned tons of apps tha helps with intervals… could you give us some names of good ones for reference, please
ОтветитьThanks Mr David,s,best interval lesson so far for me.
ОтветитьI'm trying to learn how to play guitar by myself and I gotta say, you are like the Obi-Wan Kenobi of guitars 😂 Thanks for the content and the soothing explanations! 🤓 Btw, do you have any kind of course/program available? Like, for purchase or something... 🤔
ОтветитьAmazing.
ОтветитьNothing like the other lessons. Just came across with little explanation as to what we're doing. Just saying a bunch of numbers in different sequences over and over whilst you try to watch which fingers he's applying pressure through made me so unengaged.
Ответитьthis is so hard. i just wanted a scale and chord. i dont know what the unison does. :')
ОтветитьDefinitely the BEST intervals explanation I've ever seen.
ОтветитьAwesome
ОтветитьI appreciate you! You made me want to learn guitar again. I've been struggling for a while and locked into some bad habits. Thanks for this series! I signed up for you beginners course and I am enjoying it so far. Blessings to you and yours!
ОтветитьI seriously didn't understand anything ;-;
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьWhy is not major 5th? Why is it called perfect fifth?? Why call it perfect?? Perfect unison and perfect octave is understandable. But again perfect 5th? Pls explain. Thnks
ОтветитьThe way he plays, all what he knows, sometimes it feels like he invented the guitar :)
ОтветитьYou the man Paul! let me know when you want to make a song.
ОтветитьMy goldfish disliked this video. His attention span wasn’t long enough.
Ответить........ am i being flexed on?
ОтветитьBeen subscribed, clicked like after watching, sure as hell shared it with a fellow noob guitar player, my colleague, with whom we had a discussion earlier: "remember that perfect 5th, they all talk about?" -"yeah, no idea what that is". This helped to clarify it quite a bit for both of us :D. Thanks again for the great content, you somehow manage to put a lot of information, nicely structured and so easy to follow. Also aesthetically pleasant and with great sound!
ОтветитьIf possible, I believe I am actually more confused about intervals now than I was prior to clicking on this video
Ответитьwould love to see this series revived
ОтветитьYou know shit gets serious when in all previous episodes he said at the beginning "this is gonna be fun" but not this *time*.
ОтветитьThanks Obi-wan
Ответитьwaoo it's a little too fast in this lesson I will need to listen it some few times more to register well in my head all WHT you explane. but it is really good thanks a lot 👍😉
ОтветитьIn fact yes I finaly understand it now, it's was just the differents names of augmented an diminished who disturbed me a little but they are just names. ok great video. 👍😉
ОтветитьYes yes got any intervals yes
ОтветитьYo Scotty intervals
Ответить~love the way you explained Internals....I want to play like you. Wish you had more beginner teachings. Or maybe I just have not come across them yet....
ОтветитьWhy two lamps?
