Wait guys I'm confused... as someone who just started working out I was told by a trainer that protein bars usually have more calories and carbs so you can use them as a pre or post work out snack and, not only get a bigger protein intake, but mantain the necessary amount of calories and energy for exercising as well as replenish calories after the workout ..... I thought that was a good thing, help lol

ОтветитьGreat motivational video! I respect Chris Heria, he is one of the best fitness icon who share his experience and workouts. This is my story, I had 220lbs before 2 months. Then I started to eat clean and train at gym. After 1st month I lost 7lbs, and after 2nd month I lost additional 13lbs. Now I have 200lbs and Im strongly motivated for more. Nothing comes overnight. Online workout and meal plan from website OnlyMeal helped me a lot with my transformation. I also started making 7k steps per day.
Ответитьbeware that protein is also not only that but the aminoacid profile. The better the profile the better it can be used by the body. Eggs are the gold standard. And when combining the right veggies, the profile can be better than that of eggs.

ОтветитьI'm so glad you made this video, and more people are focusing on getting their nutrients from whole foods. You're moving in the right direction. Next, you have to research your whole foods too. Pasture raised eggs are going to be the most nutritious compared to any other marketing ploy, such as free range and cage free titles. Those protien bars are full of processed junk. Just research every ingredient in that protien bar. There isn't one on the market that's safe. I eat 4 eggs a day with raw yogurt topped with chia, hemp seeds, fruit, and honey. 55 grams of protein to start the day. For dinner, 1 lb of any meat. Chicken breast contains about 120g of protein. Easy 175g of protein with no processed junk like protein bars and protien shakes. Thanks again for all your knowledge in calisthenics.

ОтветитьIt's such a shame when people never tried actual full-fat, not artificially reduced fat, cottage cheese, like slavic grannies make. If you are not afraid of fat, like on keto, it's even healthier, and tastes completely different, even texture is less grainy

ОтветитьI agree about the edemame, MetRx bar, and Barebell bar. Otherwise, hard boiled eggs, cottage cheese, and tuna are absolutely disgusting. Albacore tuna (which you recommended) is very high in mercury, other heavy metals, and dioxins; it's unsafe for any adult to eat more than 3 servings of tuna per week. Also, you didn't test better quality protein bars such as Builders Bar, Think, and NuGo.
TLDR you are phenomenal at calisthenics, but your judgment regarding protein sources is subpar.

The metrx bar is supposed to be a lot of calories. It says meal replacement on the package. Also a lot of the first options you can't really take to the gym. I use the david protein bar. 150 calories 29 grams of protein. Zero sugar
