Put some of that adhesive roofing ice guard underneath that lid cause that plywood ain’t gonna last long with that moisture on it 24 seven
ОтветитьThat water heater looks like it can double as a smoker.
ОтветитьThat tub is gonna be a major breeding ground for bacteria unless you put chlorine in there and or drain it regularly. Also you could drain it and install a well thermostat and set it for like 100 degrees, you'll run the hot leg of whatever power you are using for pump through the stat, any temp below 100 degrees it will cycle water through heat exchanger to tub
Ответитьlmao, yeh i can see ms paige trying to boil crawfish and or lobster in that tub in mass volume....maybe boil bottled food jars....etc...lol
ОтветитьYou might put up a counter weight and small cable run through a small roller to help open the door.
ОтветитьThanks for the video 👍🏻
ОтветитьYou don't want the water to more than 104 degrees to be safe and comfortable.
ОтветитьNice job Jeff love it
ОтветитьNothing like a good, hot soak on a cold day.
ОтветитьJeff that hot tub is a thing of beauty man that’s cool! 👍🏻
ОтветитьWould split the lid in half. Only open up one end for a single person and both when have a partner in it.
ОтветитьNow all it needs is that hot Canadian to warm things up a lil more!! U lucky rascal
ОтветитьI’d be lying if I said that I wasn’t a little jealous of your setup.
After the bottom part of your lid cover keeps soaking up moisture from the hot tub, you may consider covering the plywood with something like an FRP (fiberglaass reinforced plastic) panel that’s moisture and mildew resistance.
Put some frp on the bottom of your top.
ОтветитьPerfect.
ОтветитьJeff, You could cut in a line and run it to a radiator inside your house to help with heating the house too.
ОтветитьJeff, just about every hot tub only goes to 104 degrees maximum.
ОтветитьMy default temp on my hot tub is 102
ОтветитьYou can probably take that cross brace off the tub. The sides of the box should keep it from spreading. Would make it easier to get in.
ОтветитьThat hot tub looks great Jeff!
ОтветитьLooks like a damn redneck casket..
ОтветитьMake sure you chlorinate the water a bit to keep the disease out of the hot water. Nothing breeds infection like hot, gross water.
ОтветитьAwesome work Jeff! Looks like it’s just what the doctor ordered. One thing to consider is painting the bottom of the lid with a waterproofing membrane to stop the plywood deteriorating over time.
ОтветитьCool
ОтветитьHey Jeff, why not put valves on each side of the pump so if and when it fails you don't need to lose all the water? Just a thought.
ОтветитьVery clever use of materials. I might suggest a line voltage rated remote bulb thermostat. Set to open (shut off) the pump motor once it reaches the desired temp.
ОтветитьJeff, Great job! Something you could consider is a pump bypass for when you turn the pump off to keep the water moving through the coils. ball valve and 2 tees to go around the pump.
ОтветитьBe careful about the temperature of the water. If I remember right, over 105° can cause you to pass out and possibly drown.
ОтветитьMy friend used a 50gal drum. Same thing copper coils inside. Used to heat his above ground pool so the family could use all year round.
ОтветитьWhat's the difference between a "Hot tub" and a "Bath tub"? I think it's air jets.
So far, I'm pretty sure you've made the worlds most awesome outdoor bath tub. Unless I've missed something.
How about some type of water filter, just a thought from a Jacuzzi/swimming pool owner.
ОтветитьNeed something to protect that bare wood ! Linseed oil maybe ?
ОтветитьEnjoy!!
Ответитьunbelievably cool. (hot).
ОтветитьPiece of tarp or plastic on that lid plywood so it doesn’t rot?
Ответитьmost store bought ones will only go to 104 they can make you dizzy and all that what did your materials list cost ? enjoyed watchin
ОтветитьGreat stuff Jeff. Will you add a floating chlorine dispenser to keep the water clean?
ОтветитьI think the sound is coming from the vibration of the copper tubing laying against the steel tank at the hole in the tank. Also, it appears you have the tank sitting the same direction as the floor joists. Isn't that a lot of weight on 2 stringers? Otherwise, great idea!
ОтветитьMaybe add an accessible switch for the pump to be able to turn it off and on while your in the tub?
ОтветитьThose Harbor Freight transfer pumps are just that noisy. I installed one last week on our deer skinning rack at deer camp in Eufaula. Love your videos and builds. I live on Sand Mountain, but frequent LA. Love it down there! Preciate y’all!
ОтветитьThis contraption is PERFECTION sir!!!💯
ОтветитьLike I said before Craftsman at his best .
ОтветитьAwesome job ! Any concern about the PT lid and constant moisture with chemicals leaching back into the water from the heat ? Over thinking im sure. Stove works so good ! Take care Jeff
ОтветитьIs this to cook humans Jeff? Or to boils crab? No temperature control?
ОтветитьCareful Jeff that fry your tatters
Ответить105 I think is the safe high limit
ОтветитьSuper super design
Ответитьnice video!
ОтветитьLooks awesome man 👍
ОтветитьI love the way it came out!
