What a poor design! Here’s an idea, design an easier to remove filter cover. I’ve broken the tabs on two of these even following the mentioned directions.

My filter looks like that, but it doesn’t have any arrows. So which way do I turn?

I have the old style filter so i have to request a new one. So every 6 months i have to request a new one?

Please require your customer service staff to view this video. I spent hours on the phone with them trying to explain that my new square filters wouldn't fit it the slanted receiver. They seemed to think I just didn't know how to install an air filter. No one--even supervisors--suggested getting a new updated part. Thank you!!

The old square cover was a breeze to get on and off. The new rectangular cover is just evil. I ended up having to use a mallet like your video. That is just not customer friendly. What idiot thought that this was an improvement?

Finally got the old filter cover off: WITH A HAMMER!! And guess what? THERE WAS NO FILTER INSIDE THE COVER HOUSING!!! Thank goodness I had a pack of square filters from my old LG refrigerator that I brought with me when we moved. This refrigerator is 7 months old,
