I have no issue with some players wanting time off. They're playing a ton of games at a high level. Gold cup is not and has historically not been a priority for US soccer. If I remember correctly, Landon took off time during a world Cup qualifying and expecting to be given a spot for the Finals. I still would have taken Landon over Wondolowski but Kinsman saw it differently.

Has nothing to do with a mental break. Poch is trying to install a system and he has maybe 20 practices to do it and his best player has decided to not join.

The team is not serious. They would rather do chipotle commercials and golf then try to win together. It’s very symbolic of the country itself.
