Wonderful! Surely if the Viking were traveling as far west as your map shows, there must have been long term camp sites ... or possibly the Viking helped establish a trading network for ivory from the Inuit. Actually, to me this makes more sense and doesn't seem that different from finding Western North American obsidian showing up in Eastern North America or sea shells from the Gulf of Mexico far north of the Gulf.

Tierra del Fuego, the land of fire was named by Magellan as he saw fires as he sailed south past the land. Presumably the fires were beacon fires warning of foreign ships and the possibility of slavers capturing natives.
