Diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma at age 35. General belief is it was related to my service. I was in a tank crew during the first gulf war. However, I never was sent to the gulf. Had I step foot in theatre Id get presumptive 100%. Being in Germany handling and riding around in Depleted Uranium gets 0%. Any one out there get Myeloma and not serve in gulf?

it's helpful, regarding...frustration?...to remember that the VA is not a monolithic organization (kind of insinuated here). Yeah, the regulations are, but contact is made to specific individuals who may or may not be up to date on what the current regulations or lawsuits might be. Yes, it can extremely frustrating but last I checked no one in the VA system is omniscient. Don't give up, but be ready to cut folks a bit of slack when interacting with them. Kindness costs nothing.

Referring to 1151 claims. During service I sustained a fr actured jaw. Years later during dental work by a civilian dentis t,I found out that my bite was crooked with a gap on one sid e(left).I had an infection in my gums resulting in 65% bone loss of my jaw bone.needing tooth removal and a lower and upper dentures plates. It gave me correction of my bite allowing me to chew food properly. But apparently the naval dental doctor did not set my jaw correctly at the time. Is a 10% rating given by the VA for disability to me adaquate and right??

I had to request my records from a specific hospital to present my evidence. The SF-180 is what you need. Takes 2 months to get it back. It’s worth it. It shouldn’t be like this, but unfortunately it is.

Was wondering if a comp and pen examiner should be pushing and pulling on your neck while during the range of motion after you are already at your painful point and them measure it with their tool. When they know you have three pinched nerves and spinal stenosis. It's all service connected Now have a hard time moving my head and neck

What if the injuries occurred in Combat, though you didn't report it at the time. It seemed to heal, then later got worse like ringing in the ears from a grenade blast ?

I had my hand severely injured, and l write song’s and play music, I can’t perform because I can’t play long enough to go to work, My hand won’t let me play long enough it stings and It gets numb and cramps up, l have tried and tried years have passed by and l know now , no matter how long I try, it is never going to get better, l feel the injury has ruined my career, l had two operations in Marine Corps, training to go to Vietnam , l can’t hold my strings down long enough to play guitar and work

The PACT Act doesn't give you any guidance on PFAS and PFOA water contamination. Service connection should be automatic. These chemicals take decades to do serious damage. The military did a great job hiding the damage and avoiding responsibility for years.

Every time I tell something to the VA they try to use it against me.

What can I do if the military can not find my out patient records from the Flight Surgeons office?

My husband is a Gulf War vet who gets frequent headaches and body aches. He has horrible nightmares related to his time there, especially if he has been hearing thunder or fireworks. He has also had back and neck pain since returning from the gulf but he has still never gone to the Dr. for ANY of it. Now that he is in his 50's it is starting to affect him more and more. Is it too late for him to apply for VA benefits over 30 years later with zero medical history related to his issues? He is over the income threshold I found on the VA website as well, so we are not sure if there are any benefits he would even receive. Should he still apply? I know he can't keep doing 50 hours a week of manual labor much longer and we are going to find ourselves in a bind. Thanks!

I went thru therapy for my shoulder and wrist, at the VA for several months. VA now says there is no record of my visit. What do I do now?

I made claims in 2003, 2007, 2017. I was denied all 3 times. No service or happened while in service. Right behind a deployment. I was told, just because some doctor stated the claim in my medical record, does not mean it happened while in service. Denied. I was asked if I was missing a limb or hand or foot. I replied well no, he said then why are you here, everybody has some pain most of the time. Denied. I complained with severe head aches numerous times for years. Directly told, no need to keep coming, VA doesn't tract head aches, head aches cannot be service connected. Tylenol would help if I would just take it.
I quit going to doctors and the VA. After 3 attempts why keep putting myself in their way. Never went back until July 2024 at the urging of co-workers. Still dealing with head aches, should pain and limitations, knees, wrists, back, spine, foot, elbows. I was asked why did I wait so long, I almost walked out. I am letting a VSO from another state help me. I tried 7 different companies, VSO's and all said I had to have a raiting. I was denied 3 separate times and never given a rateing. I was told most AF reservists do not get a rateing, even after 31 years. Served as Airdrop rigger for 31yrs, 605 then a 2T2, deployed at least a dozen times or more. Retired with over 6000 points and I don't qualify because I was a AF reservists. I somethimes wonder why I wasted my time. Denied with no rating. Maybe this time with my congress woman looking into my claims and someone actually trying to help me, only God knows.

My VA Claims have been combined into one Single Claim although Symptoms and Evaluations are related to different Code of Federal Regulations. I have appealed requesting the separation of these symptoms back to their original claims but the VA refuses to separate them. So far no decisions have been made. Is it advisable to simply closed my claims and then resubmit one at a time to avoid the VA combining multiple claims?

What about PTSD due to MST.

I was recently denied on my claim for sleep apnea, I also was rated at 0 % for asbestosis and plural plaque because they said that the breathing test values were not low enough, what should I do to get disability for these 2 claims, I wasn’t diagnosed with asbestosis till 2021 by my doctor with no NEXUS from him !

also remember that you can have secondaries based on the prescription medication you have to take for the service connected primary condition. ; and the side effects that those medications can cause 💁🏼‍♂️

How do you file when you was told my medical records at the VA hospital was lost. I had records where i had testing done just 3 or 4 months after i ETS out of the military.

Vba has over looked me a number times for secondary condition over last 4o yrs. .just got 100% c non hoskin 2022 lymphoma x1 scar. Disregarding my host of Secondary. Lymphoma tumor size of Softball in my Stomach. USMC Camp Lejune,NC. X4 hr. Surgery.

I was totally unaware of any reporting of any problem until 35 yrs after being out of the service and struggling with back pain since. It's checked on my medical records of back pain, but when you mentioned it back then, it was like Roger that, and that was the end of that.

I get dizzy from my hearing loss. Was told nerve damage in one ear and loss in another from a hearing test, but that constant ringing drives you insane
