I have mastery. I just can’t seem to sell it. By the way, looking good, Robert. Maybe a narrower tie, though??
ОтветитьThe example with autistic people here is flawed, because autistic people have shown to be extremely talented , sharp focused in fields they get attracted to, like music , mathematics, memory..
The good doctor series is an example and there are plenty of autistic prodigies..
They are wired that way and are deeply focused on a particular field.
Not all autistic people are such though.
As if autism is a defect to learning, autism is a requirement to reach insane levels of mastery. Look at Rainman.
ОтветитьYeah okay. No matter how hard I work I will never be as good as Lebron James at basketball. Luck, genetics, birthplace and wealth all play a role in your success. Hard work is the bare minimum, everyone has to work hard but some people have insane talents or access to people and money that some people will never have.
Say it's all down to hard work is just bullshit.
Today I get the answer
I am having a self doubt on that I can't understand things easily and I can't study well but you are your own block!
Anything is possible and you can master anything
All true
Except: the ladies Autism is what has gotten her successful in her field.
You have many many more good examples ij the book though
Tell me why then you're the Robert Greene yet anyone and everyone in some fall of their life said the exact things to people....but were buried or burnt???
ОтветитьHe’s speaking about autism as if there aren’t any positives to it. It’s definitely a benefit to some types of learning.
ОтветитьAutism is a terrible example as if Austin’s dictates learning abilities. It increases in many cases
ОтветитьBeing deeply connected to what you’re studying and mastering it and being brought with privilege are not mutually exclusive. Temple grandin was born into a wealthy and educated family, she had a mother who supported her and did not choose to institutionalise her. The fact that a person with Autism is being chosen for this example seems ableist. Because her family was well off and educated, so the issue is she’s autistic? A lot of people with Autism master there interests, it’s called hyperfixation. He is leaving out so much context. This is the classic individualistic American mindset, if you try hard enough you’ll make it. I’m sorry that’s just not true. Your environment matters
ОтветитьLol what? An autistic person is far more likely to master something
ОтветитьIt has a lot to do with ur motivation maybe who u b around and well might slightly have some to do w it😊😊
ОтветитьI don’t know if I agree 100% with him take parents that have negative energy, and people around your neighbourhood are the same how can a child come out of the negative energy and go on to master what they want
Not easy if you are already damaged from the education, system etc
That's great, good for you, but the scientific literature demonstrates otherwise on a variety of subconscious mechanism that are genetically determined. This is such a childish perspective. Of course lifestyle is an important factor, but this doesn’t mean a significant genetic and/or environmentally can't exist either. This is the same logic people use when say, "Oh, but my Grandpa smoked till death and lived to 100." It's so confusing people can believe that maybe every other organ can be genetically limited, from increased disease risk to muscle growth, yet for some reason the brain can't despite all the literature suggesting otherwise 🤡.
ОтветитьThank you this helps dispel the black mark autistic people have but some are absolutely amazing in their chosen field really respect you for speaking out and using your power to help others 😊
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Mastery for Success,, is a great learnings, thanks Brother Robert!!👍👍👍
ОтветитьHe looks like bob lazar
ОтветитьGenetic component is real. Can you became black or brown or what's not your heritage. But ww can have the knowledge its from Adam and Eve afterall... Or fabricated something too...
ОтветитьHave admired Temple Grandin since I saw the film on her work about animals, mainly how cattle move in a curve motion, her work changed the lay out of abbattors which might lead to less stress for the animals, although they still have the fear of new places. ❤️
ОтветитьI'd just like to be fully abled. I'm autistic and ADHD but there is a huge spectrum of abilities coupled with waves of burnout and interests constantly changing.
Using a purely autistic person who has found an interest that can make an income, has lower support needs plus an adequate support network is just annoying. Not all of us get that.
If hard work was the requirement for success billions of slaves would own the world. Every succesful person I have ever met had a wildly specific "right place, right time" moment. Fort every single successful person there's a millon carbon copies that struggled for 80 years and died somewhere in the middle of the pack being completely average. It's called survivorship bias.
ОтветитьWow I'm sorry but that just sounded ignorant... For someone that's supposed to know so much about human behavior he might want to go do some research before saying something so ridiculous cruel. Like artistic people are so stupid if they can do it anymore can.. mine as well been his words. When some of the smartest ppl are altistic look at Elon Musk. Yea ppl run there mouth making fun of what tf they can but it doesn't make them look cool or him any less smart. 🤓
Ответить❤❤
ОтветитьSome people place themselves in positions where good things happen. They are driven, and yes some are born more in better positions than others.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing! Peace and Blessings to you kind sir, ✌️💖💡🙏🕊️😇
ОтветитьThere is that component whether one agrees or not.
ОтветитьRobert Greene states he is annoyed.
Ответитьyou're entire personality, mannerisms, work ethic, IQ are all genetic..
L for my guy here
Hard work beats talent until talent beats hard work; and “luck” is just probability and statistics 📊 math.
ОтветитьI achieved mastery in KCD in almost all skills. But I did use console commands. I have to say.
ОтветитьHe argued against a scientifically proven claim with 16yrs of anecdotal evidence 😅
Let’s just set our egos aside and accept that there are some people with an inherent advantage and focus on getting better with practice.
Yes darling yes I completely agree with you on every spectrum. The beauty of elevated thinking..
ОтветитьIm born with mild adhd, there are times im genius during studies other times its hard for me to absorb knowledge. One time i forgot we have a exam on that day so i have to study the whole book for 8hrs fortunately i passed 😅
ОтветитьNot really. If you would take Bill Gates as a kid and simply move him to another city, he would never be the Bill Gates of today. Most likely he would have been an average software developer.
ОтветитьI like Robert Greene’s books but this is the one thing I disagree with him on. He completely disregards privilege and misses a bunch of its nuance and affects.
ОтветитьYou can be the hardest working man and the best learner of all times, if your genetics do not help you, it's useless. It's like asking a legless to run a marathon.
ОтветитьMastery is the best book, it goes with me where ever i go!
ОтветитьI have a great respect for Robert Greene, and he’s my second favorite author of all time, but I have to disagree here ! Even though he may have done an extensive research, that doesn’t mean every single fact that he’s found about the people he researched will fit the profile for everyone else. Even when you look at some of the ones he’s provided in his readings. Some of them actually sold their souls or practiced divination and occult of practices whereas there were dark forces operating on their behalf. Additionally, some were positioned strategically generationally and so on. This is an entirely new era and although many principles remain the same, the time does play a factor. Schooling has a lot to do with the outcome in a persons life, just as the parents and the roles they played as well. Surely, there are many who overcome without specific elements that were mentioned above but there are many many other factors to consider
ОтветитьTotally naive and unscientific. Natural talent/genetics plus high IQ plus a long period of high quality practice = mastery. Miss any of those three ingredients and you could be good (and good is way above average) but never a true great.
Ответить❤. Intense desire and pure gut perseverance will cut it it through to the finish ❤
ОтветитьI know someone who got a masters degree but she also slept with alot of men to get there and to get the job she has now.
ОтветитьWhat you eat is what you become, what you listen is what you become, what you read is what you become,
ОтветитьI could listen to you for hours
Ответить"If someone with autism could reach this level of mastery, who couldn't ? "
Someone with autism, born in poverty, forced to pregnancy at 15 and no reproductive rights ? :3
I don't think genetics play, but the surrounding ,if your dad is a doctor. This dimension is recognized by your subconscious, so you don't struggle in finding the way to become a doctor..
ОтветитьHe’s relying on survivorship bias for his anecdotal evidence for every Epictetus of which there is only one there were hundreds of millions of slaves throughout recorded history who were entered into slavery and died being enslaved. Whose names will never be known. I’m sure if he spend 16 years researching the lives of a few thousand of those people he would get very bored and have a more realistic perspective.
ОтветитьI don't want leave until I live my potential. I can't see any other notion.
ОтветитьTrue
ОтветитьAutism manifests in different ways. She is unique just like another person with autism is unique to their development .
ОтветитьAm listening 🎧
