Q on the challenges - I thought you could only not accept a challenge if you were a unit that is a single character, not the only character in a unit? (Heroic Stand). Has that been FAQ / house ruled or am I just plain reading it wrong? 😂

Crawling Fire allows you to move the blast 2" not 3". Also Pyroclasts all have 2+ Saves. Also also, you can refuse challenges, the opposing player decides which model does not fight in this fight, which would have been the apothecary

Couple of rules points just to be helpful, units who are pinned cannot react ie the pyroclasts overwatch, and bikes cannot be pinned as theryre cavalry. Also bloody murder would have given the contekar and sev +1 attack, not sure if that was used or not

Vehicle squads are awful in general, but don't overlook them in NL. Two vehicles outnumber basically everything. It's especially great for autocannon sabres, who get to pretend that they're Iron Warriors. Rapier batteries also become absolute shenanigans with the +1 to wound/pen.

Tip for preysight. You can't evade shots from units with nightvision. It makes Night Lords antitank very deadly :). Great game as always!

I have a feeling the Night Lords said some very not nice things to the Salamanders in their intervox communication chat

The target unit is affected by the Fearless special rule.
A unit that has become Pinned cannot Move, Run or Charge. It can only fire Snap Shots if it attacks during the Shooting phase and cannot make Reactions in any Phase

During the assault marines Vs Raptors fight the Sallies would have been fearless as the champion entered into a challenge (with the apothecary) would they not ?

You can take saves on apothecaries (like when there was only the apothecary and the one terror squad marine)

Werent the pyroclasts pinned when the contekar charged them? If so i believe pinned units can't do reactions.

Steve G could have taken the saves on the Apothecary in the Terror Squad.

I thought you could turn down a challenge but it just means that characters, in this case an apothecary, couldn't attack back? Time reference 1hour 34mins
