I never understand why people expect others to stay exactly the same. It's completely normal and healthy to evolve and change as we get older. In fact, it would be weird not to.
Glad you've found the space to make the changes you want Matt. Looks great.

In my opinion, minimalism is really adopting more of an intentional mindset in everything you do as well as in the way you live. While also removing the superfluous to make way for the important. If that means your space doesn't look like the stereotypical minimalist aesthetic who cares. What matters is it fits your needs and what you like. I myself did this recently by going away from the typical black and white office to a more rustic yet still simple and clean style. Couldn't be happier now.

Mitchell Road Antiques is the greatest place on Earth. Just last week I bought Scrabble letters from there just because I had a random idea for a design.

I love your not so minimalist studio. Very thoughtful setup. Could you also reply to this comment with the wall colour code and brand?

I also have a few studio tours on my channel (budget friendly setups).

Tip for painting. It looks like the closet doors are painted with oil based paint. You have to use primer for oil base paints first and then sand and then paint them, otherwise the paint will keep peeling off 😊.

Minimalism is not just having little, but being intentional with what you want... Just don't come out with a video of you saying you don't want to interview The Rock anymore, or I swear I'll unsubscribe.

I once read a comment of someone adressing minimalism with the words "no beauty allowed"
that was kinda eye opening for me. I still am minimalistic in a sense that I dont want to own to much stuff and be humble, but I am not into minimalistic room design. being surrounded by white empty walls is sad and I didnt want it anymore
