They're remarketing them as Viking style chefs knives now lol

ОтветитьThat is pure looks. Sadly most will never know the truth and will buy these. What a slab of scrap metal. Looks alone are nothing. Performance was not in the design.
ОтветитьYou have the quirkiest, funniest knife channel while at the same time remaining informative and fairly scientific. Thank you for the content, love it.
ОтветитьThe cruel truth.
ОтветитьHuusk knives: A Lithuanian company drop shipping cheap, pot metal Chinese knives, claiming to be "Japan knives" with what, a Finnish name? Did I get that about right?
ОтветитьThanks for sharing
ОтветитьHuusk has a new review up that praises the knife and many many totally positive comments underneath. I am guessing it is fake/paid. Their ads are still popping up on my screen. There must be a lot of money to be made. They are claiming there are "fake" Huusk knives of low quality out there, LOL!
ОтветитьHey Pete, where you at? We miss you!
ОтветитьCould you try to give them a better heat treatment? Or generally try to make it usable. You could call it "Husk to Hero"
ОтветитьCONDUCIVE not conductive. Sorry.
ОтветитьYou should chop completely through a Huusk knife with a machete or hatchet lol
ОтветитьHuusk is a scam.
Cheap knives made in China as Japanese knives.
They have no shame.
Japan should sue huusk for defamation.
Ответитьas some one looking at buying some decent knives, i'm very grateful
also, but no offence, vids of the kittens give me joy, love your work
Yes they are abolute rubbish.
ОтветитьShould do huusk vs a bronze knife since they should be pretty similar lol
ОтветитьWhile I fully agree that a Huusk is an overpriced hoax, I have to point out that your test is not entirely fair. Your knife isn't stainless, so it's not really comparable. Stainless steel is generally softer than carbon steel, its virtues being in rust resistance.
Furthermore, your knife looks thicker and heavier, an unfair match. The big guy beats the small guy.
I add that those notches on your knife aren't so easy to remove either. They'll take hard work and eat away much blade metal in the process.
Yes, I fell for this scam😢 I bought two huusk knives and leather pouches from their website, I just wish I’d read the reviews first, rather than the 70% saving they were offering.
I bought them a month ago, and they are still unopened. Guess I’ll put it down to late night shopping. £90 lost to the scammers 🤦♂️
Recommend gloves and glasses for your next test.
ОтветитьOutside the scope of knife snobism this is meaningless. I have a small victorinox can opener sharpened at 40° per side and paring knives thin as razor blades that won't withstand any abuse. Each one is fit for the job.
ОтветитьPlease please please Pete can you baton through this Huusk POS with a Cold Steel SK-5 SRK or similar. I am certain everyone would appreciate that.
ОтветитьFrom the British Stainless Steel Association website:
"The austenitic and ferritic ’18/8′, ’18/10′ and ’18/0′ stainless steels cannot be hardened by heat treatment and so can only be used for knife handles, forks and spoons."
What you have there is a sharpened spoon handle.
Holy moly, I didn't expect to see getting so deep, with a good swing you should be able to cut the tip right off. Not a blade steel at all.
ОтветитьForget The paper cut test The HUUSK cut test lol!
ОтветитьI'd like to see you guys expose other fake Japanese knife brands from China also. There are many of them (MITSUMOTO SAKARI for example).
ОтветитьFrom the get go, Huusk looks cheap!
ОтветитьEven if it was made out of a proper steel, the design of the blade is still atrocious for a cooking knife.
ОтветитьHUUSK is a scam!
ОтветитьI've cost huusk already a bunch of money by not recommending this shitty blade
ОтветитьWhat does everyone expect? It made in china, nothing good comes from communist china.
ОтветитьSo husk knives are basically made of hardened tinfoil..
Great Stuff!
Yea when I get a knew knife I immediately go wack it with a different knife, lol what a fool.
ОтветитьHe 3 finger swing a poket knife... it made a dent 😂
ОтветитьSadly, my wife was fooled by the hype and bought me 2 Huusk knives.
ОтветитьI would never buy a Huusk personally but someone gave me one as a gift. I would never use it in some sort of knife fight, but it cuts onions and carrots ok.
ОтветитьHuusk says Japan . That’s not where is made. Made in China
ОтветитьStop using Japan when you say the name...
Ответить19 Husk employees hate this vid.
ОтветитьI had a rare oportunity to hold two of these Huusk knives in my hands simultaneously and I compared the ''forge marks''. Their pattern is identical, meaning it is simply embossed, most likely by a roler.
ОтветитьHuusk such a giant scam. It's not Japanese, it's made in China. It's easy to go on tat websites and type "kitchen knife" and see exactly the same blade without the name, but clearly identical make and manufacture. So all they did is bulk purchase a bunch, slap together a fake backstory of it being "Japanese inspired" and laser etch a logo on it. Then sell it for 2x markup or more. It's not even a good knife, and even if it cut well, which it doesn't, those pits are actually unsanitary. Absolute scam.
ОтветитьI think I could cut a piece from a tin can, and it would cut as well as a Huusk.
OK, the can would rust. But if you’re saddled with a knife like a Huusk, do you really want it to last a lifetime??
so then it must be a real find on Temu, the rolls royce of internet retail quality. so i tried to see if a trail of tears buyers remorse could find a lawyer to reward them for their zealous purchases?
ОтветитьThere should be severe penalties for outright scams and bs of this kind. Pretty easy to prove
ОтветитьSo i guess u can lie your ass of when there is a great profit to be made from the gullible. Anyone say "safe and effective"?
ОтветитьThat’s hilarious. I was gifted one of these a few years ago. I think they were selling for 17 or 19 bucks at the time at the most. I cleaned a couple deer with mine and I had chunks out of the blade when I was done. I just bought a couple of old carbon steel trade knives at the thrift store for a buck 75 for the pair. They are miles ahead in quality and durability.
ОтветитьMonkey metal!
