Laurence I have watched your videos for quite a while, and I've gotta say it seems like as time goes by you're mastering the art of saying absolutely nothing.
You always say "what I'm saying is"
You say absolutely nothing and try to eek it out as long as humanly possible
I've loved Diaz since day-one arriving from Porto, but it's clear he wants to go for a while now. He's not chucked his toys or bitten anyone (sic Suarez), he's given everything every time he's played. Provided we get decent money, I'm sad but happy to let him go.... where tho? Barcelona is supposedly his dream club, but they're broke and can't possibly afford €70m+; and it's a bit of a stretch to think Diaz would flipflop from wanting his "dream" move, to going to play in a Mickey Mouse league (aka Saudi) purely for the money. I can't get my head around how both options are possible.
ОтветитьI don't know how to feel about the Wirtz price tag, but then I remember how desperate we are for creative outlets, these are the type of players that win you cup competitions in the right circumstance.
As for Diaz...I wouldn't sell him for under 70 M especially if the Saudis approach
If we get Wirtz and Kerkez - Then I cant help but feel we’re one striker away from the best of Rafa Benitez - that team had a solid core, Gerrard as #10 for Torres and they could be fantastic at times
ОтветитьWith Wirtz and Kerkez going to Chelsea, Liverpool will need to get replacements lined up is they start shedding front line players like Diaz
Ответить2021/22 (2nd half) Our best player when he first signed
2022/23 (1st quarter) Our best player, then he got injured against Arsenal at the Emirates.
We rushed him back early and he got injured again. The season became a write off.
2023/24 Already struggling to regain body confidence after injury is then compiled with the kidnapping of his parents.
2024/25 His first uninterrupted full season and he finally shows up 17 Goals 8 Assists (25 goal contributions).
Lucho has just entered his prime, is finally injury free, is producing the numbers, is able to occupy all front 3 positions, is the best 1 v 1 winger we have, is our best forward presser, has a great engine, doesn't complain at being rotated and is on a championship wage £55k p/week. How we can think of selling him now is crazy! We need to sell 3 or 4 other forwards before Diaz.
Diaz has felt like a Klopp player. Slightly mad and chaotic, playing with heart not head. That's not a negative, just more how we're evolving very quickly.
Have a feeling Cherki might be the Diaz replacement.
No idea why you were talking about Charlie Adam. Guy played for Blackpool and Stoke, not us...
Oh, and my girlfriend just walked in, looked at the screen and said 'God he's like one of the family....' - keep up the good work 😂
Dies for the badge and one of the most underated wingers in Europe be very hard to replace him considering we can already mix him up with gakpo we
Must keep them both
Diaz gives everything whenever he plays for us but unfortunately his end product is not good enough for me i love the guy but maybe its time to move on.
ОтветитьThe last 3rd of the season... Diaz was the only threat from our attackers... he would drop deep, actually run and beat defenders... unlike Salah who would go AWOL.. Salah wouldn't contribute in other phases... I'm referring to Salah post PSG... he dropped off a cliff... I think Diaz is our most dangerous attacker... mistake selling... his direct and pacey...
ОтветитьDiaz is our only attacker that can actually beat his defender with dribbling
ОтветитьI think if Diaz and Gakpo were opposite ages we would be extending Diaz and selling Gakpo. He’s a better fit to our system, but he’s too old not to cash in while we can.
ОтветитьIf he wants to go then ta-ra. Doing my head in this now, he aint a worldy
ОтветитьHe wanted to go last year to Barca so get a good price or a swap for Raphina
ОтветитьLove Diaz to bits, but if the Arabs come in with £150m, I can see him going.
ОтветитьHe'll be 29 in 6 months, if we get 70 + Mio, its a no brainer.
ОтветитьYou waffle far too much
Joke about Liverpool getting government funding is either really really political statement or a bad joke that ignores the historical issues Liverpool have had with being neglected by central government in terms of funding and probably should have not been made.
Diaz isn’t a central striker…hmm what gave it away?
Diaz been fantastic for us this season, but he’s almost 28 and they won’t want to give him long term contract, especially with increased in wages he rightly will require, as he’s on peanuts in reality.
Makes sense for him to go and if we can reinvest, then probably best for all
So luiz, nunez, jota, tsimkas are out.
ОтветитьThis is his first season where his output has been nice. Gakpo in all comps is better by 1 goal and 1 assist. Think if he moves on it will be ok. Plus we’d be getting a profit. Ik he puts in a lot off the ball but overall his career at lfc has been decent id say. Not great but not bad. Think we could replace him nice and not be hurt by it. Plus he’s only getting older seeing as he’s gonna be 28.
ОтветитьWould really hate to see him go, he is our energizer bunny..... so many games where he has been the key for us. I do understand it from a financial perspective but it would still hurt a lot if he went.
ОтветитьLucho always played with passion & talent when he's on the pitch.
ОтветитьDiaz goes, Gordon come's in. I'm fine with that.
ОтветитьOmg no
ОтветитьWill be interesting to see how our net spend (is that what you call it?) will look once we are done with transfers this window.
We must be able to buy a good few players without being forced sell? Sure, we might have to sell a couple to open up slots, but do we because FFP rules?
I honestly have no clue here so would be interesting to hear from someone that knows.
Hope we have some more signings after Wirtz, Kerkez and a striker is done. I don't want the team getting fatigued or injured in a way that will lose us trophies.
It's definitely the right time to sell him, but he leaves a PL champion, and onto his next challenge.
I think he'll fair better in La Liga also.
We need to be very careful about making too many changes then ending up with a transition season. if Diaz wants to leave then no choice, same with Ibou sign up or leave but rather both stay.
ОтветитьHendo convinced me in the end.
ОтветитьThe difference between Trent & Diaz is that Trent always said he wanted to be just like Stevie G & be team captain just to run down his contract & screw the club over while Diaz has never made a secret of the fact his dream was Barcelona. He's rapidly heading for 30 with 2 years left on his contract. Sell him to Barca this summer, get a good fee for him & everybody is happy.
ОтветитьI’ll miss singing his chant everytime he gets the ball 😔
ОтветитьMane was over rated
ОтветитьThe thing about Wirtz is we haven’t spent in 3 windows which with LFC’s revenue not only provides the allowance to spend bigger on that 1 star but to also fill other needs ( yes that should’ve been addressed last summer… ie CB).
ОтветитьI will miss Diaz a lot, my favorite player, and will be hard to replace him because his versatile and is fit, something important in the PL. Gapko (gets knocks and/or out of form), Salah will is slowing down (shown against PSG that he can't get pass players anymore). I'm concerned that VVD and Salah are aging players that should only have received 1yr contracts with possible extension based on performance. Father age catches up with everyone and don't see those 2 players having exceptional seasons in 2025/2026 for what they are paying them.
Ответитьthe central fund place XD
ОтветитьNo studio?!
ОтветитьDONT SELL YOUR BEST PLAYERS. We have a huge chance to go back to back but not if we are replacing 4-5 of the starting 11.
ОтветитьInteresting title
ОтветитьI know 21/22 was a hard season to take but we did do a cup double loz so yeah diaz won stuff with mane
ОтветитьCan’t replace too many players in one summer. While I think we need more from the right side and certainly more from the centre, keeping Diaz makes sense at least for one more year.
ОтветитьGreat vid
ОтветитьBig mistake!!!!!! Diaz a very dinamic player!!
ОтветитьDiaz to Barca, here we go
ОтветитьWhat is this crap .. two days ago, he comprehensively said he and his family were so happy to be at Liverpool and wanted to stay . He loved the fantastic fans and his fellow players and wanted to stay as long as he could .. so all this shit about him having his head turned seems to be speculation and is only for the this platform to have something to talk about
ОтветитьDiaz is brilliant I think we would regret letting him go
The grass isnt always greener
If we didn't have Luis Diaz we would be so excited to sign him
ОтветитьThe Luis Diaz that came to Liverpool and the one after the knee injury is night and day, when he first came was electric everytime he got the ball, not a bad shout to move him on
Ответитьi'd hate to see Lucho go. I feel like he still has a part to play, but i can also see him having concerns with Wirtz coming in.
ОтветитьIf Diaz leaves, Dom can take up LW position.. Dom idolizes CR7, has powerful shot, and he already shown many times for us that he can keep running into attacking positions.. he was forced to play at #10 this season but does not have that killer passing in him
ОтветитьNo ones going to pay Diaz what he thinks he’s worth. He’s a good player but he’s not a 300 grand a week player. We’ve got him on 50 grand a week for probably the next two years.
ОтветитьI wouldn't sell him this summer (unless offered crazy money) as we are selling Darwin more than likely, and it would be a lot of change to get 2 forwards in. The striker market is poor this year so I would go off and buy another winger/forward such as Gordon with the idea that we line up similar to PSG this year with 3 forwards. And then if Diaz leaves next summer we can then look at the striker market (maybe Isak or Alvarez would be available next summer)
Ответить
