what makes someone 'undeserving' of a cookie? I'm a big believer in a 'is it worth it' over a 'do i deserve it' mindset.
you like the cookie and it will bring you joy even if for a moment? worth it. you don't like the cookie but you can afford to buy something you might not enjoy and might throw out? worth it and now you know the answer to if you will like something similar in the future.
doesn't seem worth it? find something else instead that does or put the money that you would have spent on things into a weekly/monthly savings instead and at the end of the time frame buy yourself a little present.
