What are you using for a seat cover? How is it compared to just the bare stock seat?

Best thing I did for my KLR. Now I put my hand up and feel the air flow going over my helmet instead of buffeting my head all over the place.

Thank u for the vid. I ended up picking up the VStream Mid cuz of your vid. Im 6'2 and like it best on the 3D Risers at low position....its about eye level and can hear the damn valve train from engine at 65mph. Its super easy to switch back to the OEM windscreen for trail riding.

I too reside in the PNW, nw Oregon. I also went through most of the same procedures trying to find that perfect windshield to stop the helmet buffeting on my gen 3 KLR. I use the tall V-stream on the risers and at a pretty close to vertical orientation. Works awesome.
Now, this is likely a fluke and no one else will ever have this issue, but I'll state it in text here as I do not have any videos of it, just pictures, but while the KLR was on the back of the rv this spring (2024) it had sat in the sun a few hours while I toured the Newberry national volcanic monument in Bend Oregon. When I came back and looked things over before returning to the highway, I noticed an irregular spot on the front cowl just below the V-stream. Had to think for minute what could have caused it, and asked a few people later for their opinion, turned out it really appears that the V-stream focused the sun down at the "V" to a very concentrated spot on the cowl. Melted the plastic. Didn't melt through thankfully, and I think the reason is the sun was only in that position for a few minutes as the earth rotates. But now I know to either carry an old tee shirt or something to put over the V-stream if it is going to be stationary in the sun, like on the back of the rv or in a parking lot.
Even with this issue, I have no plan to get rid of the V-stream. It is an awesome upgrade.
