Hornady Varmint Express Buck Shot

Thanks for sharing sir! I load this in my HD shotgun and have been looking for more info on how it performs at these distances as there doesn't seem to be a lot about it out there. Thanks for pointing out that it has a lot of muzzle flash. Any chance you are going to be able to do any ballistic gel penetration tests with it?

I enjoy your reviews, I was very interested in this ammo as possible self defense but with your heads up on the flash I’m reconsidering.

20” is short in barrel length, 18” min for legal. That explains the flash at the muzzle. #4 buck makes dense patterns and is great for coyotes and self defense to 50 yards. I keep 2.75” #4 buck for my 12’s, #1 buck for my 16 and #3 buck for my 20’s.
