John Basilone, as he best exemplifies the Catholic contribution to our nation's freedoms as well as anyone we know. The Knights of Columbus of Queens County is proud to serve under the name of Gunnery Sgt. John Basilone. May this ship and her crew sail safely and proudly under the name of a true American hero.🇺🇸

Very impressive! As an old Navy vet I have a question. Why are so many Marines in the crew?

the new high tech and advance destroyer made for search and destroy any kind of enemy warships and aircraft as well as UAV and KAMIKKASE drone,and they used for disaster relief support.

John Basilone was one of America's greatest military heroes. May God Bless and honor his soul.

USS Winstom Churchill always has a Royal Navy officer in its crew. Maybe as part of the ships tradition a certain number of marines are part of the crew un particular job roles.
