i think it's disgraceful how un-awake and indifferent the audience seems here. this is a beautiful top notch performance by a legendary beautiful band,,,, i would've been singing my heart out during "yoshimi" and "feel yourself disintigrate." what's up with the audience???

Wayne needs to realise he’s already in one of the best bands on the planet, that’s why all those people are there, we don’t need to be told to ‘cmon cmon cmon’ after and before each song. I’m 58 yrs old mate, I’m no teenager. I pay my money to watch a brilliant band do their stuff, I enjoy every minute of it but I don’t want to feel guilty for not ‘whooing’ loud enough. Your not judged on how nutty the crowd appears, just do your stuff, it’s mind blowing how good you guys are and I’ve been with you since 97 !

I love discovering amazing bands throughout the course of my life. When I was a teenager I would have thought this was wack. Imagine living a whole life on earth and never discovering all that beauty.

Almost unwatchable with the cringe explanation on audience participation. It's a cultural difference and talking down to the people watching makes people less likely to join in

Ya’ll sound great. Gotta be honest, I love to dance and move around at shows but I’m not a very vocal person when it comes to music and concerts. It’s just not in my natural instinct, and I don’t like people telling me when I need to sing or scream when I’ve paid for a ticket to watch a show. Calm down Wayne.

Best band, but the crowd at this show seems void of energy.

I've seen these guys a bunch in the states and they always burned the stage to ashes with the backing of crowd participation. Wayne Coyne is one of the best front men I've ever seen and my heart weeps for him here as I watch him play for people that have no idea what they are watching, or just don't care.

Love the FLIPS! Just saw them again on 4/23/24. They still bring 110%. Love Steven's cape (nod to Wakeman?). They care about song craft and audio quality at their shows too in addition to the amazing party atmosphere with killer lights. This video rocks with great camera work and really good sound! Thanks for the post. BTW, in my five decades of attending live music the FLIPS fans are the absolute best to share a musical experience with. Wayne sets the tone and it grows!

Dude front man needs to get over himself. I saw them open for another band recently and he did the same crap. It totally kills the mood to be lectured like you're a child at a show you paid good money to be at. Maybe if the band had good energy people would respond in kind but they all looked bothered to be there.

I saw them in Central NY this year(2024) for The Yoshimi Anniversary Tour.They often open with Race For The Prize, but They ended the show with The Song.🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

I can understand why Wayne wants energy from the crowd.Yoshimi was their Japanese Fan Club President who handled their tours in Japan before they were big.After her death in a car accident, they made an entire tribute album to her.They still love her to this day, and want you to love her too.😞😞😞🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

I saw the Lips this summer for the 6th time and I always have fun and people are so great it is such a different crowd where you can brings your Kids. THE FLAMING LIPS A NATIONAL TREASURE
