I LOVE reaction videos. But how is it possible that someone has never heard Chuck Berry or this song before? Seriously? This is a great version (in which Chuck actually invents the first WIRELESS electric guitar in 1958. ;) ). But I'm totally not buying that two people of Shawn and Mel's age haven't encountered this before. They definitely have parents and grandparents who could clue them in. If it's true that this is a real reaction... then, lord, what are we teaching during Black History Month? Where are the parents? This is an American touchstone and icon. A precious page in American and Black history, the symbol of an era. Everybody knows Chuck Berry and this song (and probably several more). Right? I'm confused!

In my neck of the woods this song was the first song you learned how to play, rather the guitar, bass, or drums if you wanted people to take you seriously. This gave you the stamp of approval.
