Hi Christy! I’ve taken a unit on the gothic a couple of years ago. If you would like I can send you some of the content to help with your project & world building. I think I’ve got things on Australian Gothic and The Gothic.
Ответитьfunny.. I was pretty sure Spiegeltent comes from the German word "Spiegel" which means mirror, after a quick Google search I found out that I wasn't too far off: "A spiegeltent (Dutch for "mirror tent", from spiegel+tent) is a large travelling tent, constructed from wood and canvas and decorated with mirrors and stained glass". Originally built in Belgium 😊
ОтветитьI swear I hear "Smeagol ten" every time you say Spiegeltent. Ugh, my brain 😅😂
So excited to see you writing again, and this story sounds really fun so far! 🤩😍
I'm pouring my heart and soul into transforming myself into a full-time content creator and writer. Battling anxiety and fears, the subscriber count may be slow, but I believe in the power of my work and passion to propel me forward. You are one of my profound inspirations. Your authenticity gives hope to aspiring writers like me. Thank you for being a guiding light in this journey.
ОтветитьI love Sleep Token! Good luck with your novel. 😊
ОтветитьI loveeee that you're a Sleep Token fan
ОтветитьCompletely off topic but my budgie, Lily, apparently loves your voice. She just sits and whistles so sweetly along with your talking but stops if you stop 😂
Ответитьobrigado. Você me inspira.
ОтветитьThat storm was so intense, so much for summer! Btw I love your clothes & fashion sense, I know it’s not your usual style but I’d love to see a clothing vlog where you show your favourite outfits and where they’re from!
ОтветитьA fantasy novel set in Adelaide … oh my! As a fellow Adelaidian that’s amazing.
ОтветитьEditing is writing but it's not pulling out that initial thread of story. So I don't count it as writing in the same way in such a situation as doing a vlog about "Writing using the habits of Stephen King" ....because you don't have to sit there and wonder what happens next, because you have the draft there
ОтветитьHope the writing is going well. I'm also planning to do some writing in February, but want to do a ton of reading in preparation first. Do your best! :D
Ответитьhey :) if you want to someday i would really really love a lil notebook tour because i'm a blood true gardener who wouldn't mind being a bit more of an architect sometimes, but i genuinely have no idea how.
i know there is a lot of content about it on the internet but i've been following you for years now and i'd be so curious to see how exactly you build your story aside of the draft. maybe it would inspire me and give me some tips ✨🍷 and i'm sure i'm not the only one !!
OMG, I just want to say a big thank you for uploading this rainy and cozy writing vlog! I've been stuck in this awful writer's block phase for a while now, And I just can't express it enough how much your writing vlog videos help me!🥰🥰🥰
ОтветитьDelighted to have the opportunity to follow along with another novel! Spiegeltent is also such a fun code name! 🎪
ОтветитьAudio books app and website recommendations?
Ответить❤ Sleep Token too!
ОтветитьI love the project name 😅 I learned a new word and the way you said you learned to spell Spiegeltent is now never going to leave my brain 😂
Ответитьthe most shocking thing for me was that you listen to Sleep Token :o you don't look like a metal fan kinda girl hahaha
ОтветитьWhat keyboard are you using? I have to get a computer and will be getting a desktop but it sounds like it would be great to type my novel on.
ОтветитьWhat is your desk set up with the monitors? Can you talk through that? I notice you have one set at portrait style and the other normal (landscape) - do you find that helps?
ОтветитьI love your videos and Im cheering you on in your writing and querying!!
Ответитьhow excitinggggg
ОтветитьI love your videos and i am fairly new here, so i am wondering what you write in the journals hehe Very curious. Would love a flip through of an old one or an explanation for a new one :3
ОтветитьI love it when authors talk about second and third manuscripts. Right now I'm researching and planning the second draft of my horror/dark fantasy novel and I'm enjoying the process even more than writing the first draft. I know the characters a lot more, I know how the story is going to develop and most importantly: Why I want to write it. Sure, writing a first draft can be scary and exciting, you're still just meeting the world that you've created and it's always going to be a little bit weak compared to the evolution of the tale; but in the second draft I find I'm a lot more attached to the characters and overall, writing improves a lot more. Plus, the feeling of nostalgia and missing that world after letting it rest is just extremely powerfull in order to write it better.
Good luck with Proyect Spiegeltent!!
It's so refreshing hearing that you mix typing and writing and that the process of writing a first draft does change a lot. I think the mystery of writing sometimes makes things seem like someone just writes a masterpiece outright.
ОтветитьI love that notebook where did you buy it?
Ответитьjust discovered you and I adore you. Also, it's funny because I think we can be friends: I wrote a novel based on 1920, and now... I'm writing a novel based on a circus hahaha Greetings from spain❤
ОтветитьFun fact: Mirror in German is Spiegel 😊
ОтветитьSubscribed! As soon as I saw sleep token I thought yes, this is the channel for me!
ОтветитьDiscovered your videos the day after i finished writing my first full length play. Could have used them before but will certainly help for the next project. Your vids have helped me appreciate writing more, especially in a world of ai
Ответитьi absolutely love your vibes and videos, but for some reason i forgot you live in australia and i got so confused when you said that it's almost summer, 'cause i'm in europe😂
ОтветитьI love that you’re working on a new manuscript, too! I’m doing this, too, especially as I start querying my other novel later this year. Congratulations on that and again on getting a literary agent! It’s so exciting to watch your journey. 💜
ОтветитьHi Christy you’ve inspired me to work on my own project I had shelved after a few drafts. I’ve been writing a lot the past couple of days and hope to finish by the end of this year so I can query too
Thank you so much ❤
Christy, I am obsessed with your videos. It's so nice to see your creative process so closely! Can't wait to read A Year in Tokyo 💗
ОтветитьHi Christy! Could you make a video about how you outline / your template for outlining a novel?
ОтветитьChristy, how do you determine the wordcount for a book upfront and why is this important? I get the following topics around structuring it correctly, but what's the reason for 80k words (in this case)?
ОтветитьNotebook link, please?📗🙃
Ответить💜✨💜✨💜✨💜✨💜
ОтветитьThis is the kind of work I'd love to be doing full-time but I don't know how to get started. I don't have a lot of subscribers/friends that I can talk about my writing with. the only one i really talk to is my boyfriend
ОтветитьThat airplane set such an ominous mood when you were talking about how scary a blank page was, and honestly, it worked XD
ОтветитьI have the same opinion about editing! Love these vlogs ❤ the new project sounds so intriguing
ОтветитьEverytime you say hello you close your eyes and that is so cute!
ОтветитьWhere can i get the cute notebook? (I'm based in NZ and hoping we have it!)
Ответитьomg spiegel is a Dutch word meaning mirror. I didn't expect that to be a word used in English
ОтветитьHi, enjoy your vlogs. I'm curious if writing programs Scrivener are worth it, or is Word is all you need?
ОтветитьYour voice is so soothing!! I am so excited for this new project!! I still can't believe that Project Teacup is done ahhH!!!
ОтветитьLove that sweater.
