I always loved this movie ever since it came out but the more I watch it (ie - the older I get) the more I'm inclined to the opinion that he's messing with her head a little too much.

I like how when it's from his perspective, we just see him walk away, and then when he walks in, it's from her perspective. So, it's treating him like a different person. It could've showed the moment where he changes his mind, but we'll never know just when that was.

i like how the whole time he teases her but when she made the last remark it hurt him, and she regretted it even though he kinda deserved it. i felt bad for her.

Dawned on me now after meny times watching it that they are Darcy and Elizabeth 😂

It's sad that Cafe Lalo is closed, which is where they filmed this scene. It stood for quite a while but wasn't able to overcome the Covid beast.

It’s a fun little bit of story symmetry I never noticed before. Here, Kathleen thanks Joe for helping her overcome her inability to think of good insults in the moment—and then later, she also credits “NY152” with helping her to start writing children’s books of her own. The irony is that she doesn’t know it’s the same person.

It’s a really well put-together movie.
