TF2: Spy Psychology - Paranoia

I play spy, then swap to medic once I feel they are paranoid

Great taste in music.

Sometimes paranoid enemies can be easier to kill depending on how they’re spychecking, as once a heavy who I had killed twice already was spinning around and shooting his minigun to search for cloaked spies, and he didn’t notice me walking up to him with the worlds most obvious disguise and I killed him. The inverse is also likely true, if they’re constantly checking teammates they may not hear a spy decloaking behind them, but if they’re doing both checking for cloaked and disguised spies they are definitely harder to kill.

Dont know if anyone else mentioned it , but spycicle is a knife centered around paranoya.
It worsens the paranoya , but protects you from some of the negative effects of it.
Usefull for agressive paranoya.

One thing i noticed in myself , when playing other classes , is that spy paranoia spreads like an infection.
When my teammates shoot at me , i shoot at other teammates. Sometimes i shoot a teammate , they shoot me back signaling "i am not a spy" and then going to start spy-checking too.
Its an interesting effect.

The only reason a spy would dominate me is if they have impeccable aim and always catch me at half health or I'm so thoroughly distracted by the rest of their team that I don't care that much about the occasional knife in my back.

The Heavy in the intro has less than no excuse for being backstabbed.

It's interesting that the spy, viewed through this lens, is basically the grappler of TF2. In fighting game terms, I mean. Heavily mindgame/conditioning focused, has to work hard to get in, and immensely high damage as a pay-off.

Not a perfect comparison, of course, but still! I wonder if there's any significant overlap between spy and grappler mains.

I played typical colours 2 (game on roblox) it has basically same community and everyone have same sanity
