Harman Kardon Onyx 4 vs Harman Kardon Go+Play

Am i wrong or does the onyx studio 4 sound more crisp? I think that go+play sounds muffled when compared

Onyx has a cut off power supply when playing with batteries. Go + Play, has a much larger battery and the power supply is automatically bigger. I would suggest a test with connected mains power, both devices.

Even with headphones the Onyx 4 still sounds like it has better highs/treble while i have them both en the highs/treble on the go+play are much better in real life.

The snare sounds more true on the onyx. Onyx more open end also. Bigger cone onyx vs smaller cone go play. I'd have to listen to both in inside and outside to get a good comparison.

I'll take two HK studio onyx 4

Both are great speaker but in my oppinion Onyx4 is has more balanced,crystal and natural sound..For me Onyx4 has enough bass..To much bass reveals, away from the naturalness of music as in go-play..The tastes and colors are different for peoples and indisputable issues .I have go+play and also I have 2 onyx 4..If I compere go play to onyx 4,go play more powerful and has strong bass..But in my point of wiew,I enjoy with onyx 4 more then go play..Onyx 4 has more crystal sound..But if 2 onyx 4 pair via HK connect app,and choose stereo mod,I can not explain quality of the sound..Connect+ feature is amazing feature for pair speakers eachother specialy for stereo mod..But unfortuanetely go play has not this feature as onyx 4.. I am so disappointed that,it is impossible pair onyx 4 to go play😒I hope HK team create new app for find solution for this strange problem..

from the discussion, both are awesome speakers depending on what genre your listening too. Go play is also justified for double the price given richer wider bass sound, better portability.

But for money constraints, Onyx is heck of a deal as well.

Go+Play for outdoor, Onyx for indoor.

Hk Go+Play cost twice onyx 4 here. So It better buy 2 onyx 4 than 1 Hk Go+ play.

Go&Buy is better for me.

Here The Onyx sounds much better - waaaay too much bass with the go+play. But they are standing on the ground (bass boost) - so no typical listening situation

I Tested both go play and onyx studio 4. One of them is clearly better. Much more refined, detailed. When you listen both in the same shop with some different kind of tracks, you will make your choice easily.Because difference is easily noticeable.

I have these exact same two speakers, can they be paired together? I know you can pair two Go+plays together and two Onyx 4's, but can you pair one of each to each other?

Harman/Kardon Go+Play was my Dream Speaker. I really like it. Powerful and great sound. The design is really Great.

This speaker is really Portable. I can use it for every device Speaker. Like use it for Game Console, Mobile Device and Even My PC...
