US-China tech war: can Huawei survive?

Never used a Huawei, been using xiaomi for the past 5 years plus it's more affordable. Huawei is pushing it's prices too high. I've been using a xiaomi mi max 2 for two years bought it for $200 USD brand new.

Android is open source software not American technology. Google will not deliver its version that has some addons and most importantly it will not provide the play store with applications for the Android API. But Huawei will not be left without an operating system able to run its phones. There are a number of options for Huawei that could potentially provide ways that Google could still support its phones. Only time will tell what it tries and how much opposition it runs into from American regulators.

Why in the world would someone trust a company that was founded by a bunch of communists? China has so much to gain from exporting their hardware overseas. Third world countries are the most vulnerable due to how cheap the phones are. You can see how this is all going to play out, just look at what’s happening with the Belt and Road initiative.

All companies have refused to sell semicons to Huawei and the same will be applied to entire China. So there will be no chinese phones or other electronics.

Huawei will run out of Kirin chips in 6 months. SMIC can only fabricate 15nm chips. TSMC (Taiwan) fabricates 5nm soon to be 3nm in 2021.
15nm vs 3nm in 2021 is laughable. China has to "catch up" in 1 year. It took Samsung 16 years to go from 5nm prototype to production.

There is simply no single way China can make semiconductors. Even tougher sanctions are waiting. Then there won't be computers in China anymore.
