4 years later and the game is still broken. I can’t complete any of the quests for some reason, tried server hopping, tried restarting my game and it doesn’t work. Also, you can’t compare fallout 76 to no man’s sky, no man’s sky actually works and there’s tons of free content, unlike in fallout 76. They decided to shaft the players with fallout 1st, locking content behind a paywall. I expected fallout to have tons of content but there’s nothing there, the wasteland is boring asf to explore

SUPER duper late, I bought the game when I was 16 and super uncomfortable playing with other people (still am uncomfortable so I barely play anymore) and was kinda upset at the lack of single player. i payed the 20 dollars for the solo play for a while to try it out and honestly I loved it.

it’s fallout and really that’s all I need to enjoy it. Before playing I loved listening to the lore videos you’d see around just talking about the fallout 76 lore, what they added and changed and even if the gameplay sucked or the amount of glitches reigned it was something that made me happy listening to after school. Playing the game was totally different and I had plenty of fun playing with friends in a solo world and even more fun alone. I had almost no problems with glitches or processing power on my own, but I will say when I first started playing and was in a public server my game was a little slow than every time after that.

I really wish they had more time to work on it before Bethesda got greedy, like ik it sucks for most people (I literally can’t play without paying them $20 for a single player mode,) so if you like the lore and not gameplay don’t spent the money on the game, instead i recommend looking online for videos or finding a friend who already has the game and either play on their accounts if they’re willing to share or play together! Also, there’s a couple of really good ones out there :))

I got 76 on launch and hated how empty it felt without human NPC's. Going settlement to settlement and finding everything empty other than players scuttering around was so disappointing, and I gave up after about a week. I jumped back in about 6 months ago after reading how much it had been fixed. The updated intro with the human characters was nice, but after a few days of zero interaction from the handful of players online I gave up again. Absolute turd of a game.

It's legitimately insane how many of these glitches still exist to this day, like major ones, like to this very day you can shoot enemies and they won't show a visual affect from the attack for a full 2 seconds.

I love when the right side of my screen is a big long wall of text in games

I can’t lie, fallout 76 is my most played fallout barring new vegas and had I not played the masterpiece that is FNV, it would be my favorite by a long shot, on my very first play through (rented) I gave up on playing it after a few hours but was gifted it back for christmas and played it nonstop til i hit level 50 and dropped it again, did this a few more times over the years and can safely say I love the game despite its flaws, mainly because of the atmosphere and base building

I wish i hadnt pre-ordered the game. If i just got it on launch day (and then spent 8 hours downloading it) and realized that my laptop at the time was very ill equipped to run it. The lag was literally unplayable and my favorite part of the game, base building, is so restricted and i cant play offline or mod it.

Everyone who participated in Fallout 76 for three years since it’s “release” should be paid minimum wage for testing the game.

I will give fallout 76 this, it was worth the five dollars that I paid to get the steel but can’t get a game shot lol

Ngl when I first played the game with my brother upon release, we had an absolute blast laughing at all the wacky, wild glitches. Some of the best fun I had playing a gamr, all for the wrong reasons.

The big thing I don't get is how the hell does a Vault SPECIFICALLY designed to reclaim the world after the apocalypse not have a GECK?

I really like 76 but I struggle with change... Knowing it's ab online game I knew they would fix and update it and any memory I had would be too nostalgic that I can't revisit it .. I love the idea of 76 and every now and then I hope on still, I feel I got my money worth

unfortunately with all the new players from watching the show comes the trash with it. they want yo play the game like its fortnight or cod. even with pacifist mode on they sre annoying. im just out here in the wasteland doing my thing i dont want to fight your level 7 character. im almost at 500 now and haven't pvp yet and dont plan to. now if you want some help or a gun or two ill gladly help

When I'm playing any Bethesda game there is always a lot of really terrible.writing and boring gameplay but also some really really good wrting and game play it feels like some developers are good and others are trash and only care about money similar to ea or something I've always felt that way like so much content in fallout 3 is so repetitive and boring but then some quests and locations have soo good writing and polish

76 still find i crash 3 to 5 times a day and still bugs that sometimes make you have to reset the game to fix npcs in certain quests

I enjoy rewatching this and the glitches video now and again despite having never played a fallout game (elder scrolls is more my jam) because I don’t know there’s just something so beautiful and entrancing about how much of a disaster this was. It’s very entertaining

The rationale is punishment. Cut the reward and crank up the punishment. Pay to regain a bit of sanity, albeit temporary. Own nothing, be nothing significant, forget things should get better... "communist" doctrine.

Having played this game for the first time this year, it's incredible how little actual progress was made. I've saw all of these glitches and more in my 100h playthrough with friends. I tapped out after a update that contained nothing new and was only re-activating an old event. I booted the game only to be greeted with "LOOKUP_ERROR" as their every menu option. I only used simple QoL mods like making the map usable and the UI not suck, and it broke those too. It has been 6 years since the game was released, mods are still necessary for a barebones workable product, and new bugs are introduced with every patch. I staunchly believe there's a group of dedicated isometric Fallout fans in the dev team of this game, and they're doing everything in their power to make this game flop. But the addictive cycle of "kill loot repeat" is too strong and there's not a product that's broken enough to break these people free from their Stockholm syndrome. It is, without a word of exaggeration, the worst game I've ever played in my life.
