Hi Peter, I’m watching you from Las Vegas, Nevada. You have a beautiful family. God bless you for helping out the children that need someone to love and guide them. When my son went away to school I was very sad. When he came home for Christmas break, after two weeks we were both happy to see each other but also glad for our own space. My son is the greatest.

I would say, in a way, when your kids move out, you can't totally prepare yourself, after a while , tho love missed them any together time is special and th at sometimes change can be a good thing x

Peter, my best advice to you is this: 1)make sure they understand you are always only a phone call away. 2) maybe start a tradition of having them over for dinner once a week to ease your mind and theirs 3) make it a practice to never show up at their home uninvited or unannounced 4) pray a lot!

You kids will do good. How much is rent out there? Yes remember not to let bills get you down for they will be with you all the days of your life. Lol dogs are a big obligation . God bless you both abundantly! I pray you can find a nice church to go to. Im a senior lady 64 and am renting a room at a couples home. Rents in California are astronomical.

Biggest piece of advice I can give: don't do too much for Zay. I think it's harder on us parents when our kids move out than it is on them. If you want to help furnish a place, buy some used furniture, not new. Don't furnish the whole place. Knowing they can stand on their own two feet is good for our kids' psyche, especially our young men. Setting our kids up with everything has more to do with us wanting to feel loved and needed and less for their future.

I still remember the first brand new piece of furniture I ever bought on my own.
