I used liquitex high gloss and ruined my painting, I have streaks after following the instructions, can I put over the poly acrylic, ?
ОтветитьReally helpful, i have yet to varnish my first pours because I'm terrified to ruin them 👍
ОтветитьSuper vidéo 🙏
Question, c’est de l’eau que vous mettez avant le vernis ?
Merci beaucoup
Aside from the varnishing product…this painting is SO Unique Sara !! I do see that the water helps to spread the varnish. I tried it by itself and it cracked and ruined the painting. Too thick & sets up quickly
ОтветитьNice work. Being a woodworker I would recommend the water not come from the tap. Distilled water would probably be best.
ОтветитьI am interested to find out if you l had the same problem that I had. My paintings were coated with the polycrylic , but about 3 months later they had very fine cracks all over the canvas.
Ответить😮 Sara, does this work as well as the LHG varnish? If so, it would be a whole lot cheaper
ОтветитьQuestion Sara. Once the first coat is dry, you repeat the exact same process with the water for the second coat?
ОтветитьWhat about the silicone oil on the canvas? Do you have to wipe it off?
ОтветитьCan you do this on puzzles?
ОтветитьHello, Sara. Thank you for your tips, i love your work. Question: do you have a video of how you made the second painting you varnished?
ОтветитьThank you very much 👍❤️❤️❤️👍
ОтветитьHi Sarah...I was wondering if you have done this technique on painted ceramic tiles?
ОтветитьVery nice…. I been looking for a varnish and I have this on hand… Thanks…❤
ОтветитьCan I do this on a painted furniture piece?
Ответить🥇👍🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦
ОтветитьThankyou for the tip😊 I noticed you don't wet the sides. Is this not necessary as well? Wouldn't you get streaks on the side without the water base? Does adding the water first, retard the drying time to give you more time to work? I'm thinking of larger paintings where the top would already be tacky by the time you got to the bottom.
Thankyou for taking the time to show your expertise 💗
thank you, Sara. I have a question: my paintings are extremely textured, so the canvas is not at all smooth. Would you recommend spray varnishing instead of using a brush in this case?
ОтветитьDoes anyone know if the water technique would work to prevent streaking of acrylic paint on wood?
ОтветитьLove how you do this. Thanks for posting. Just wondering how long to wait to apply second coat to be safe?
ОтветитьHi can i ask why you chose semi gloss as opposed to full gloss . Great video and will try. Thanks 😊
ОтветитьTy!!
ОтветитьThank you for the ideas and your creativity. You inspire me. When you do the second coat, do you use water again?
ОтветитьOh Sara thank you so much for this video. I’ve tried everything, but this water wash first is a game changer. ❤️❤️🇨🇦
ОтветитьI did get brush marks with the foam brush but haven't used your method so will see if it improves.
ОтветитьThis works so well! Thank you for your method! I’ve tried it with all sizes and I get a perfect surface every time!! You’re a magician and a saint. ❤️
ОтветитьI cannot WAIT for my painting to dry so I can hang it in my office. 😊
ОтветитьIs it a wood varnish? Its very expensive in Europe. Can i use only wood varnish on acrylic paint
ОтветитьDoes this method work with Liquitex gloss and satin varnishes? It’s soooo sticky, and I haven’t seen a video using water with Liquitex. This is the most amazing method, thank you so much.
ОтветитьHow do you repair your canvas that has brush strokes
ОтветитьDo you do the water on the second coat also?
ОтветитьHave you ever had any cracking or other issues from wetting the piece before applying the polycrylic?
ОтветитьThank you! Your process was very helpful.
ОтветитьHow long do you like to wait to do the second coat?
ОтветитьIs this technique using this product self levelling? Does using a torch help with possible air bubbles?
ОтветитьGreat video- --- thanks for the info and sharing ------ how long do you wait between coats, and after the last coat, how long do you wait for it to fully cure to handle and or ship?
ОтветитьHow long do you wait for the last coat of varnish to fully cure before packaging it up for shipping?
ОтветитьVery helpful thank you
ОтветитьI love this. The water makes a lot of sense to me. Do you do the water on the second coat also?
ОтветитьFor the second coat do you use the water again?
ОтветитьTHANK YOU, MY LOVE!!! ❤❤❤
ОтветитьWOW, the water trick changed my varnishing life!!!! THANK YOU!
ОтветитьHi, thanks for sharing this. Just wanted to ask you. I thought you’re supposed to sand in between coats, but I’m not too sure.
ОтветитьCan you use this on glass?
ОтветитьWill this work on pine wood?
ОтветитьBeen looking for a video like this, great info.
I know it was 3yrs ago on this video, do you still do it this way or are there onther tricks you would like to share? 🙂
would this method with a water base work on finishing a painted table top? Or is this specific to canvas?
ОтветитьHow long do you let it cure after you apply the varnish?
Ответитьtoo much water will weaken the poly and cracks will appear.
ОтветитьWhen you do the second coat, do you put water down first then too?
Ответить
