These are logical, predictable consequences to leftists' climate agenda, and yet they are willing to sacrifice the well being (and even lives of those poorest on the scale) of billions on the altar of progressive politics.

Fossil fuels improve the environment.

Excellent testimony. Germany is an excellent example of failed energy policy with respect to reducing fossil fuel use to curb CO2 reductions and hence reduce the effects of Climate Change, AKA Global Warming. In 2012 Germany mandated to eliminate nuclear power ( a zero emission proven technology) in favour of a significant investment in wind and solar. Germany currently subsidizes the renewable energy sector to the tune of $22B per year! 75% of the time their renewables account for less than 20% of installed capacity! To top it off, after all this massive expenditure from 2000- 2013 there CO2 emissions (get ready for this) were virtually unchanged! The only difference was a significant increase in consumer cost for electricity, exactly what Alex referred to! This is failed policy. Let's learn from their mistakes and not duplicate it here. If you really want less CO2 and less fossil fuel use, we need nuclear and hydro!

Ummm you guys do realize that Alex Epstein runs a company that receives significant funding from the fossil fuel giants like the Koch brothers, right? You're not willing to listen to the overwhelming majority of the scientific community, but you want to take THIS guys word? The reason wind energy is so unreliable is that it is a single stage system. A multi stage system, i.e. one that pumps air in to tanks, which then drive turbine driven generators would be more effective. They can use power well above and below the range a single stage system can use. In addition, multi level vertical windmill towers would be considerably more efficient. They would be taller and closer together, yet they would weight less, and have a smaller torque problem.

The projections are exactly how they create a false sense of urgency, and the fuzz of evidence needed to validate such a claim becomes irrelevant cause there's always a possibility, even if it's slim to none. They also claim that climate change is happening, well, sure, but is it gonna keep carrying a trend 12 years ahead to end the world? Also, is this man made or part of a more galactic seasonal change? We don't know what we don't know.

We, as people have no effect at all on the Earth's Climate nor can we change it.

So we all save by using fossil fuel, great then prepare for more extreme wildfires, floods and hurricanes that break records annually. Speeches are easily written. We could listen to a more convincing speech arguing the exact opposite backed by science and fact which this was not. Simply claims. But those you hope to sway with the upcoming election really dont give credence to science and fact do they so why bother. Climate science is fake? Right, so is all the news.
