I am booked on this same ship for November 12-days (round trip).
ОтветитьNorway actually has a goal that cruise ships had to bee environmental friendly to get into some. Fjords/Tourists Hotspots in 20??
ОтветитьWhat would happen if you can’t access Pepsi Max or Coke on cruise or land during a trip, could you cope? lol. I would love to take this trip, one for the bucket list.
Ответить🥰I love your kind voice and cute face...and your videos.😘 I just found you and I think your content is just what I need. I need to get away in my mind as I am an old and can't go out much and my glaucoma😎...anyway , watching you I feel amused and happy. Thank you and I will be seeing more of you❤👍
ОтветитьFirmly on my short list, yet not until smoking on board is finished; otherwise a perfect no nonsense sublime prospect.
Ответитьyou dont really eat seafood?!?!
ОтветитьThis looks awesome. I would love to see them introduce a ship like this from Bellingham, WA to Alaska.
ОтветитьThis is great. My wife and I are considering a cruise similar to this.
I also notice your smile is wider than usual while outside.
Perhaps it is frozen wider?
Great video, thank you!
Zebra Crossing also in Western Australia 🇦🇺
Love your videos Emma 💕
Emma, you are so cute. "Little machines that clear the snow" those are fairly standard for many Canadian homes, we call them snowblowers. We use them to clear our driveway and sidewalks. Also, there are many here (not me) who do wear shorts in -10C and even -20C. We get to -30 C with no problem. The problem is the wind, the wind creates windchill which makes it feel like -40 or -50C. Great video!
ОтветитьFun fact, the literal translation of the Norwegian word for a zebra crossing, or "fotgjengerovergang", is "foot-walker-over-walk", because it's a place to walk/cross over the road on foot. Sometimes it's a quite literal language.
ОтветитьI recently went on my first cruise and i loved it i was on the norwegian bliss
ОтветитьMcD is + 100% vs California!
ОтветитьIm dying to know if the UK/all these European countries Emma visits still have the original Pepsi Max. I was completely addicted to it until a few years ago when they changed the taste to make it more like "regular Pepsi" and secretly cut the caffeine content almost in half. 😢 I havent touched it since.
ОтветитьThat floating barn is part of a fishfarming operation. 😊
ОтветитьExcellent…❤, what happens first , sea sickness or ginger biscuits 😂… hmmm.
ОтветитьYa what charges the batteries…hmmm so clean right?
ОтветитьNo hot tubes.👎🏻
ОтветитьIn the states we call them cross walks. In Canada they have very distinct chirps. It seems like Canada has more katty corner crossings for pedestrians than we do. Our house in Quebec had a mix when it came to the roof so we did have to arrange for snow and ice removal people to come or the roof would've caved in from the weight. Also, there is a t.v. show, "Deadliest Catch," and ice and snow removal are frequently discussed as they don't want the weight of them to sink their fishing vessels. Cool cruise. I have been thinking about doing a Norway cruise.
ОтветитьCompared to Stena line or Anek, this ferry is amazing.
Ответитьany Geiranger visits this year?
ОтветитьThis looked great! I appreciate seeing the accessible cabin!
ОтветитьHm, I thought there was something familiar with the first port pictures (3 secs into the video, and the first port you talk about after Tromsø), and behold! It's from Risøyhamn, Andøya, the island where I grew up! :)
Yes, the trip from Bergen to Hammerfest is called the world's most beautiful sea journey, and I agree! Wether you sail in summer or winter, you will get memories for the rest of your life! At times violent seas in the winter, the midnight sun in the summer... I often traveled with what was then called Hurtigruten, the coastal steamer, with my mom when I was a kid, both during summer and winter, and the ships weren't as comfortable then as they are now. Many times during winter we had to brace ourselves in the bunk to prevent from falling out! But nevertheless, you could rely on the coastal steamer ships to always be on its way, and get you there.
If you haven't done so already, I'd suggest you'd take a trip with "MS Nordstjernen" (North Star) around Svalbard. This ship was once a part of the coastal steamer fleet and I've travelled with her many times.
And thank you very much for this video, it brought up fond memories from my childhood.
A very informative video; I had not heard of this company before so now I have a new option. Thanks.
ОтветитьNeed your suggestions. Want to take my family of 5 on a cruise. Good first cruise to take to Alaska?
ОтветитьVery insightful! I was just researching northern lights cruises. This trip sounds appealing albeit expensive for an American (Tromso & Bergen) arrival departure. I love chop at sea, the more the merrier. Retired sailor 😊
ОтветитьI love how much you mention Pepsi Max because it makes me feel so much better about my own addiction to it.
ОтветитьThe real entertainment on a cruise like this is norway's coastline 😊
ОтветитьThis is amazing. In my weirdness, I watch endless cruise review videos, but always think “this isn’t for me”
I love this. There’s a sense of adventure, travelling with the locals.
I’ll do this one day, Thanks Emma
Definitely sounds like one for the more experienced cruiser.
ОтветитьI love you, your videos are so much fun to watch. So much learned from you. Thank you.
ОтветитьHere in Michigan we use those snow blowers to clear our driveways all winter long. 😊
ОтветитьSpeaking as someone who lives in a second floor flat in Wisconsin I could do with less snow on my balcony. Just saying.
ОтветитьHello Emma as always I love your videos and I would love to do the Bergen ferry trip around November. Could you please guide us on the correct way to book hotel where to get the flights from and is it better to go or pan down or just up or just down on the trip, please if you can help me as adjusting it’s looks a brilliant stunning trip Chris Bull
ОтветитьI just did this in both directions. It was July. Much better than I expected. Loved it.
ОтветитьI have only been on a cruise once and that was with Hurtigruten from Bergen to Kirkenes including a visit to the North Cape. We did an excursion every day to see as much as possible. It was so cool!
I like the fact that these ships aren’t that big as normal cruise ships are. And such an interesting history this route has.
Great video, thanks Emma!
ОтветитьSpectacular views. No other entertainment needed. On my bucket list wow
ОтветитьHi Emma what month did you sail? Looks beautiful.
P.S COKE ZERO > PEPSI MAX 😋
Hi Emma, thanks so much for making this video. My Dad is very keen on seeing the Northern Lights and so we are planning for Jan/Feb 2025 on either the 14 night cruise through Fred Olsen from Portsmouth or the 11 night cruise through Havila from Bergen. I felt the Fred Olsen spent an unnecessary 4 days at sea to travel between the UK and Norway whereas the Havila is shorter and spends more time in Norway. However, the overnight stops in Tromso and Alta through Fred Olsen seemed more valuable from a Northern Lights perspective and it seems like the Fred Olsen itinerary and experience is very Northern Lights focused overall whereas the Havila is more of a commuter experience. I'm also trying to take into account which route will have less chances of getting sea sick. Can you please share your thoughts on which one would be a better experience for the Northern Lights overall? Thank you!
Ответить"These little machines that fired the snow overboard" has to remember that most people don't own a snowblower for their own driveway
ОтветитьI love that route - I've done it 8 times on Hurtigruten: North, South and Round Trip, right up across the Northern coast to Kirkenes. I even met my wife on of of them! Havila does look a lot more plush than Hurtigruten who have hopefully upped their game since they have had competition. As you say, the scenery is the entertainment. Great video, thanks.
ОтветитьBrrrr, Mate!
ОтветитьAmerican here, watching this.
-12C to -15C = 5 to 10 degrees Farenheit which is bloody cold.
This American knows that when something is announced over the tannoy such means that it is announced over the public address system or “the PA” as we say in America.
