i’ve watched tons of your videos & why have i never come across this video?! lol
ОтветитьIce. Numb yourself first
ОтветитьI heard this is how they wake up coma patients lol
ОтветитьI watched this video and almost decided not to buy the Braun Epil 9 Silk Spa epilator...BUT thank God I did! I have to honestly say that it's THE best purchase of my life (aside from my Miata!). Yes, it was a bit painful the first time...but only the first time! After that, it's been super quick and easy, and I don't have to shave for weeks! It's amazing! It also has the spa attachments, which are great as well. So anyone who is terrified of trying it due to this video, please reconsider. People have different thresholds for pain, and I have never considered mine to be high. But I still got through it with no issues. Each of my arms took about two minutes, while each leg took about five. Underarms were less than a minute each. And the bikini line is not as painful as you would imagine. No matter the area, before epilating for the FIRST time, I think it's best to shave first, then let your hair grow out a bit, and then epilate. DO NOT let your hair grow long because that's where the pain comes from - the actual pulling of the hairs from the root. Then go slowly, and it won't hurt as much. After that, all you need is super quick touchups that feel like a massage more than anything because there's really not much hair to remove anymore. I actually look forward to epilating now and enjoying super smooth skin for weeks. It's really unbelievable to me that this was out there, and I waited so long to try it!
Ответитьi think if you go slower with it you won't have to go over each part as much
ОтветитьWomen give birth everyday but do they also epilate everyday 😂😂 sweetheart I cringed so hard watching you but I still want one. I might be a bit mad
ОтветитьHeard people say you have to go slow and circular and isn't that thing overpriced?
ОтветитьI heard the word epilator so many times throughout the video that at the end I thought you said “I epilate every Mon, Wed, Fri pacific time” lol 😅😂
ОтветитьWaxing is better
ОтветитьI'm late to this but this was hilarious. Iv been epilating for nearly 20 years but this still made me cringe.
ОтветитьThis will sober you up real fast
ОтветитьArmpits are the worst
ОтветитьYou are running it way to fast. You have to go far slower as you go slower the pain lessons because the nerves will desensitize in the area going that fast your nerves have less time to turn off and going slower allows the device to get the hairs more effectively and you will need to run it over the same areas less. Also going that fast the device is breaking a lot of the hairs off instead of completely pulling them out that's why your legs are not get the smooth feeling
ОтветитьOmfg I am a man and have long shoulder and upper arm hairs. I tried it for the first time and it was tattoo pain x10. It was ripping out all sorts of long dark hairs all at once. I got through my first session on both upper arms and shoulders and it saved me a lot of time not plucking but I’m dreading the next time already. Think my arms and shoulder still hurt lol
ОтветитьOk I know you posted this 4 years ago but, how does this compare to getting a Brazilian wax? I want to try it but i'm terrified lol I have been epilator parts of my body for a few years now and at first it was horrible lol the pain was intense but it got better the more i used it. I'm just curious to the pain difference between them both.
ОтветитьWhenever I do it not all the hairs get caught and it’s so annoying because I still have to shave 😭
Ответить"Brazilian area" 🥴
ОтветитьI am a professional body waxer, I've done all of my body for about 18 years.
My own legs have NEVER gotten smooth, but doing this very same epilator did. I also found that the convenience of doing it whenever I wanted was nice.
If you keep your skin taught with your other hand and use it in the shower with hot water, it works much better and the pain is much less...do it every 3 to 4 days and the nerve cells will slowly die . Hope this helps
ОтветитьI tried epilator for the first last week. It didn’t hurt at all.
ОтветитьAlthough I am not a drinker of alcohol, I think drinking the whole beer before starting to epilate might help. It would be like a general anesthetic, relaxing the mind and body.
ОтветитьThank you for the review. I was curious about epilators and I definitely won't be getting one now.
ОтветитьLoved your video! Well done and entertaining. I am a male cyclist and have gone two seasons/winters of laser hair removal (I can't do it during the summer when my legs get sun). I got to the point where the hairs are blond and thin and the laser would no longer work (despite being the most painful thing I have ever experienced). I didn't like all the thin blonde hairs growing back, so I just tried the Braun 9 epilator. It works great with minimal discomfort on my laser thinned hairs. If laser was a 10/10 pain, I would put the epilator at a 1-2/10 on my thin hairs (I'm sure it is very different for lots of thick, healthy hair).
ОтветитьGot my first one yesterday and always thought of myself as having a high pain tolerance. Therefore, I went straight for the area down there, without trying it somewhere else. Turns out: my pain tolerance isn't as high as expected but after 3 tries of always expanding the area a little bit I now managed to remove the hair completely now. Bonus: using it on my legs doesn't hurt at all now. I'm curious to see how long and how often it will take until the pain becomes bearable enough to go through with it in one sitting
ОтветитьBefore you start talking about epilator pain, keep in mind that I have deleted by entire head! And i wasn’t bald!!!😊
ОтветитьIt's the worst machine ever!😮 Waxing is better! Easy, bam! Done😅
ОтветитьSupposed to use it working in a circular pattern. I've been epilating for years and now have a lot less hair and it's much finer now.
Ответить5 years later would you still recommend this Braun epilator?
I got a Phillips one for my white chin hairs I can't see with the tweezers and the Phillips isn't grabbing any hair :(
Looking at buying this one if you'd still recommend it
(I am a cosmetologist and already wax my chin but I could wax every other day so I need a tweeze option for the ones I can't see)
I HATE DOING IT. My mum makes me do it and she won't let me do anything else
ОтветитьI literally epilady 3 times a year. The hairs barely come back, so each time is less, and less. Easy peasy! I have an extremely high pain tolerance, so this doesn't bother me at all, anywhere! If you can take the "Pain" it's worth it. The hairs that do grow back and softer and less noticeable!
ОтветитьMy wife did my back yesterday, the neighbor popped his head over the fence to check if I was being tortured.
I was fine till she got below my shoulders, and then it felt like 4,000 tattoo needles sticking me all at the same time.
Holy lord, I can't imagine how the private areas would feel. That "Men Try" video pretty much summed it up.
Big props to any woman or man that can use this without a taking multiple breaks. lol
The real question is: and the ass?
ОтветитьDoes it take a long time to shave or does it finish charging quickly before you can fully benefit from it?
ОтветитьWhen first epilating (or after it's been a while), you pretty much NEED to shave first - if you don't want so much pain, that is. That way fewer hairs will be coming back in at any one time, since not all follicles are in their growth phase at any one time. Then you start epilating the hairs that start coming in after the shave. There will be far fewer hairs that way, for almost no pain - depending on the area, of course. 😉
ОтветитьExactly why I will never use one of these probably because I thought about getting one for my face because my face is my biggest problem area, but this is definitely a reason not to get one and exactly like you said with waxing at least it’s one and done
ОтветитьI’m sure you know this by now, but you want to go up the leg slower than what you’re doing. You won’t need to make multiple passes if you go slower.
ОтветитьMens hair follicles are like 3x deeper in the skin so it's going to hurt significantly more, no matter how tough you are
ОтветитьDon’t have a high Pain Tolerance, Eh? 😂
ОтветитьYes, it hurts but it is worth it because the more you do it, the less.the hairs grow back
ОтветитьThis a medieval torture device!!! Using before the knights and kings!
Ответитьmy dude has money for laser hair removal............ noice..........
ОтветитьDo people know that lidocaine spray exist. Numb the area first.
ОтветитьThere are women epilating their bikini area
ОтветитьYou cursing the Lords Holy name is such a let down , I was so Interested to watch your video fully but I can’t go no further - it’s too much. Thanks for thicking it out for us though🫶🏽
ОтветитьI placed a target order for this. It’s ready for pick up. I will be using it for facial hair. Pray for me 😂
Ответитьi feel like the ingrown hairs are a problem with epilators because of having to use it against the hair growth? i didn't expect that this would be the method since i've always tweezer-plucked hair in the direction of hair growth, i'm not sure why epilators are designed to do the opposite. plucking with the growth is much less painful and prevents it growing back at an awkward angle.
ОтветитьStill relevant. Glad mine was only $20 because I ABANDONED it. 9/10 pain.
ОтветитьIt’s not as bad as everyone says. Start with your lower legs a couple of times to get used to it. After you’ve done that a couple of times, try your upper legs where it is more sensitive. Again, the first couple of times will sting a bit. It does get easier the more you do it. I personally don’t have any redness or bumps afterwards, even on my face. Apply some moisturizer afterwards and you’re good to go.
Go slow.
It lasts so much longer than shaving with a traditional razor. You’ll be glad you made the switch.
I bought one, it arrived today. I hunt used it yet but I can say you are going way too fast! The product description says go slow, it should take about 15 seconds for a pass from ankle to knee. Maybe it would hurt less. I’m nervous lol
Ответить
