I totally know which show you are talking about with the magic school but Mari, it's not really that great especially from a feminist standpoint. The female characters are all terribly written and we even have the "sexy girl wears glasses and thus is obviously a nerd" trope, vomit. Still binge-watched it though because magic.

uh i don't think you're suppose to describe trans woman, or trans people in general, as born in the wrong body because their body is a woman's body as woman is living in it. Their body was just designated as male when they were born, but feel free to correct me or ignore me because i'm cis and so i'm not 100% how to describe these things. I just thought I'd try to point it out since it seems really important to you to be inclusive as possible.

Mari the academics don't get paid by publishers. fuck academic paper publishers. They get free labor and content out of academia and basically print money as a result. Universities pay for paper subscriptions and so academics get the content for free themselves most of the time, but for the average person just interested in the content, you're totally out of luck.

Man... Things with refund is totally a conflicting issue. Like to be fair, I know people wouldn't want to take away the right for a refund but those people who made the game are making a living out of it as well. I've seen this as a troll at times like "donations" in streams. Like how the fuck can you ask a damn refund when you were willing to give money? If you see the food industries, some places can't afford to put up a "refund" ensured because that business is their living! I think even though I am supporting even the low quality of indie games and games and even any business with low quality and blandest of content, just know that it's important to know that taking a refund for the reason of not liking your purchse product can really offend and harm the person financially and also like, Firewatch case, psychologically.

Uhh sorry I went so indepth, I just know first hand of refunds when it comes to disliking a product. Sometimes its reasonable but only sometimes. :/ Ty for podcast

I watched you guys play Oxenfree and I really loved the let's play so I bought it for myself and I'm so happy I did. I mean, choices and time travel and, like you guys said, Life is Strange meets Until Dawn? It was a no-brainer to get. I'm trying to convince my friends to play it now. Scientific journals from the ISI Master Journal List check, edit and release articles. This journals sell the content to other scientists without sharing any money with authors. They get only recognition through being quote by others authors that give they articles to publish by journals. This system quote caunting and appreciatation of Journal list decide are you a good scientist or not. When they say you are, then is posible to get some subsidies for future research.

This system is sick because journals is selling an almost no cost value that is created by scientists using usually public money. For now there is no alternative but it may be a good thing that somebody try to cut them of.

This is not an over reaction when it comes to people stealing money from your business. Honestly it's really good that you guys aren't taking shit from these companies.

You guy should read a web comic called Sunstone and it's available on Deviantart by Shiniez and in print too. It is a lesbian BDSM but the main focus of the story is how these two girls met and fell in love with each with all their ups and down. Not a spoiler but the way the story is told is through a flashback with one of the girls writing a memoir about their story.

I think the show you're talking about is The Magicians, but the main character is male not female. There's another new show with a female main character called Shadowhunters. Not sure what channel it's on, but I've read that it's basically a Harry Potter fanfic.

that syfy show is called 'the magicians' and it's based on one of my favorite book series by lev grossman. the show is kind of a cheap shitty version of the books but it is still really really enjoyable if you're a fan indulging yourself in that kind of harry potter/cw crossover.

The Ella Enchanted movie is actually a pretty good movie. Didn't know there was a book of the same name but presumably the movie is a good summary of the story. It really has a cool twist on the idea of fairy tales.
