ОтветитьJust loved how you gave a shout out to your cat ❤ Great vibes here
And I just want to add that I love your speech & analysis!
I cannot tell you the wild swing I had from moving from England where if you black brown or literally not English, that's it and then moving to a predominantly black school in the US. I'm a trans masc, and in England at girls schools they kept giving me male roles and every time I was like "SWEET" but..... Uh.... Yeah.....
ОтветитьI loved to see your cat is so ADORABLE could you show him more please and i loved your video is so true and decolonizing myself is like wow! difficult.
ОтветитьWe are loosing our time 🕰️ talking about standards Beaty. Tell my why Black Men are talking badly about Black women ? Why they love light or mixed women?
ОтветитьOur dark queen 🔥🔥🔥
ОтветитьIt's also interesting how beauty of east Asians blew up alongside the Hallyu wave ... more exposure perhaps? Or just more fetishizing
ОтветитьI think we always long for what we dont have. White girls are trying to get dark. Some Indian girls are bleaching their skin. Curly girls straighten hair, straight haired girls perm. Maybe it's associating what we dont have with our problems with our inner selves, and that's how it manifests. Then we have thd neverending attempts to compare ourselves to the conquerors throught history. Fat used to be desired. Small busted and short women were esteemed in medieval Europe. Things evolve more quickly now, thanks to the internet, but its happened since one woman was desired and another wasnt. Its in every mythology, every history, and it will never end.
ОтветитьI think its difficult to combat Eurocentric beauty standards because they have become the global standard. Some non-white women aspire to have straight, blonde hair, achieve a lighter complexion, get a nose job to sharpen their nose.
ОтветитьIn short and from a very personal perspective-after growing up in Poland and seeing black people only on TV and later in my life after being exposed to much more diverse representation I personally find black women most beautiful. Period. I’m also married to a black woman and we have a son.
Obviously there’s more to it but again in short I believe that this trend of beauty colonialism can be reversed and hopefully it has started already.
I am trying to empathize with you but your colorism argument really doesn't stand up with the fact that more men are dating dark skinned women, and that includes other races with darker skin such as southern Asians. I feel you are being insecure with your skin. Colorism and whiteness as property are cheap arguments for insecure people
ОтветитьYou shouldn't talk to an Indian about this.
ОтветитьAs a black man in the United States I have never felt the benefits of patriarchy….if anything the culture here tries to emascúlate black men. I think the concept of Patriarchy is more about white men. Being a black man I don’t feel as if I benefit in any tangible way. Thus it doesn’t seem real to me.
It’s the same as she said that she can’t relate to pretty privilege on a personal level.
oh no white people
ОтветитьWe white people are proud to get a tan in the summer. I think it's normal that we all want to be somebody else.
Ответитьyour point about lack of exposure towards other races leading to people only having white people as a reference point is genius, you articulated that perfectly and it's something I've had on my mind.
ОтветитьTheir are no standards I used to think that we are conditioned but I did a thorough study and I came to conclusion that some races have features and phenotypes that are naturally attractive then some races and I am not a white Caucasian. But even if you take a newborn black baby and put a blue eyed blonde haired doll at one side and a doll of any other ethnicities at one side the baby will naturally choose the white doll. Its in our nature as human species. We need to stop bashing the Caucasians. And start to be realistic.
ОтветитьIOUsr u assault
ОтветитьYou are indeed very beautiful.
ОтветитьBeauty is in the eye of the beholder. And certain features just aren't desirable to most.
ОтветитьIt's wild watching this in 2023 and hearing you say that this 15 minute video is "way too long" because it's "almost 20 minutes long". I'm glad you got into making longer video formats
ОтветитьThe caucasian "standard" of beauty has to do with exposure, indeed, but also with the general preference for averageness: some of subsaharan-specific traits tend to stray away from the global average (for example: the widest noses and biggest/most protruding lips in the world, together with native Australian's), not differently from other climate-specific or geographically-specific traits (for example: very flat or very aquiline noses; "heavy" monolids partly covering the sclera, very wide and/or flat skulls, etc). The caucasian "neoclassical" standard tends to statistically compensate those extremes: noses that are not too tall, too flat or too wide, eyes that are not too small, lips that are not too thin nor thick, skulls that are not too flat nor wide, jaws that are not too protruding and not too recessed, foreheads that are not too wide or too neotenic, eyebrows arches that are not too protruding/"neanderthalian", and so on. Most of classical caucasian traits stay in-between the extremes, and that's why they tend more easily to become an interculturally-accepted canon. Not to mention the fact that they have a wider variety tof hair color, hair textures, and eye colors to choose from.
ОтветитьWell I think you are beautiful and also you have lovely flawless skin!! I have always wanted smooth skin like yours! I’m almost 40 now and my skin is still not perfect as I’d like, but I got to thank god for giving me a youthful look and I often get mistaken for my late 20s. I’m half Asian Indian and half Ghanaian. I just look like a black person & I’m grateful for that, even though my late mum never accepted me and I never met or know my African dad. Greetings from the UK.
ОтветитьHave you discussed Barbie yet? The doll, not the movie. I really enjoy your videos. 💜🌝💜
ОтветитьIt's just in our nature as human beings to prefer eurocentric facial features, no one pays a surgeon to get a wide or long nose, but a small upturned nose, a kid with a cute nose will not be bullied in school as much as a child with a big nose, if you go back 5000 years and you bring someone with a big nose and someone with a small nose, people at that time will often prefer the person with the small nose, a painful fact that we cannot deny
Ответить😂🤘 warning to turn the vol down was perfectly timed. Thanks fer cousining my ptsd symptoms 😅 appreciate you
ОтветитьComplaints complaints complaints and low confidence
ОтветитьSomething that's interesting is when I watch Korean TV or Japanese TV, I usually NEVER think "Oh this person is way prettier or this person is ugly. I usually just think the majority of people on the shows are attractive even if they don't fit the "Traditional" beauty standard in the U.S. I love it. Sometimes I think, "I wonder if Korean people think this actress is not as pretty as her co-star." - Because I'm thinking both are beautiful! Interesting how that judgement changes when I watch American Shows. I can easily pick out who the "Pretty One" is.
Ответить👸🏾🤤🥵🍫🙌🏾
ОтветитьAll facts no lie detected in this video
ОтветитьI can only see teeth and back of eyes 😅🤣😂
ОтветитьO and blue and white t-shirt
ОтветитьThat's not your real hair so you have double standards ffs 🙄
ОтветитьThere is something really mesmerizing about you
ОтветитьShe reminds me of star puppy😅
ОтветитьI missed watching you Khadija, for some reason i hadnt turned on the notification. I robbed myself of your awesome presence but im here now. Keep doing what you're doing, your voice is neeeded. You have broadened my worldview and i appreciate it❤
ОтветитьAlso boycotting white stram media, I wont watch all white shows, or white women wearing box braid videos. I refuse to participate in anything that doesnt involve my people.
ОтветитьIn fact the moment white women began to wear box braids, I stopped. So it was a win win win 😂
ОтветитьJohn3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
ОтветитьI am a white woman and i have noticed my perception of beauty has definitly changed to fit more east asian standards since surrounding myself in media from there. For me it was a bit of a boost of confidence because i am very thin, pale, and have long legs which i didnt always feel were pretty before but i know alot of people getting into kpop and such feel very insecure about their bodies. I dont think this change is good or bad its still a beauty standard its just different but i think its fascinating how easily my perception was changed just by changing what media i consumed.
i also think its ironic that my white feature (being pale) is more desirable in east asia but being tan is more desirable for white people where i live.
are you from tanzania ?
ОтветитьHey you look cute though
ОтветитьAs a man, I am not convinced that we can just change our taste
