This 6-2 win is a good response to being blown away 5-0 by Seattle last game...but I'm not sure if it's too late as far as grabbing one of those 2 wildcard spots.
The last time I checked the standings, Minnesota and St Louis are still occupying those 2 spots and Calgary is next who are 2 wins ahead of the Canucks.

Demko misjudged a grab on that early first goal, and no goalie could have made the second one, but watch after the 2nd goal and elsewhere - Demko makes many incredible saves.

Demko always gives up a softy sometime each game he plays.

Great, so now that the Canucks are out of the playoffs, they'll go on to win the last 7 meaningless games just so they get the worst draft pick possible. Big brain moment.

This was the type of puck luck the Canucks had all last season but had pretty much none of this season.

A part of me wants to remain hopeful, but we have seen this script from this team one too many times - the team win some late season games that are not enough to put them into a playoff position, but sink the team down further in the draft order... (and other than that five-out outburst, the Ducks actually matched up well, or even had better chances, than the Canucks, so go figure...)

Looks to me that the league has figured out the best chance to score on Thatcher is high glove side. Last few goals and most of the crossbar/posts have been glove side.

I was at the Abbotsford Canucks game and they Showed Pettersons Goal on the Jumbotron and congratulated him getting his First goal. But seriously It's time to Tank and get a Top 10 pick. We can still sink below the Teams fighting for a wild card spot.
