Mr. Peterson, what about the end of Jonah's story? He's still not happy after saving the town. He's thirsty in the desert and god takes away his tree that gives him shadow. What does that mean? What about the ending of Jonah? I never heard someone making sense of it. I'm really curious, because Jonah is the origin of my real name....

This story is similar to Bhishma of Mahabaratha when he was silent to the sufferings of Draupadi and sided with kauravas.

Wowza. Thank you Mr. Peterson. I had a dream about Jonah and you made it make sense. I thought about Jonah and I thought about Christ’s agony in the garden. Both were agonized by the will of God and One chose to accept it. The will of God will not always feel good but we have to accept it.

I've lived a life of truth. It's definitely not a "bed of roses" or maybe, much towards the literal bed of rose bushes. There is a solidity to every conversation most people cannot deal with, an unarguability most cannot stand to hear. There is an extreme resistance in typical social structures those in the way of truth telling, as Mr. Peterson wonderfully explained, will be confronted with, sometimes rather ... painfully or maybe fatally.
