How much does violence add to tge production cost of an episode like this? And Vera never seems to have a problem finding a place to park.

Just a thought: If I lived in an Area where the weather was always cloudy and grey, I definitely not want all the buildings to be grey as well — very depressing.
…But perhaps they’re not really, and the consistent grey (like the music) is just used to set the time for the show?

Why are the homes in England so ugly other than stately homes? It is like they are intentionally built to be drab and dreary. Is this to shame the people living in them? Are they government housing?

"Old biddies"? What a nice term for women who just happen to be old.
