can we all agree that peter jackson is insane?
ОтветитьI watched Meet the Feebles and it was a weird but entertaining film. I got fascinated over him ever since. I personally appreciated his work I wanted to watch more of his previous films
ОтветитьBad Taste is one of my favorite movies of all time, staringbiker in fact his six films prior to adapting Tolkien are the most interesting and definitely watchable masterpieces. I'm not downing LOTR, because that is cool and authentic and one of the best looking trilogies of all time. What i'm saying is that those six movies were like a criterion collection of his early works and they should be recognized by American moviegoers. Its a shame that the frighteners had it been released in October instead of the summer of 96 when Independence Day smashed box office records, probably would've been a much bigger box office hit in the US. I have an old cinescape magazine from summer of 1996 and the frighteners was supposed to be a hit $100 million dollar movie, when the results came in for box office it did not receive ticket tallies as much as Twister or Independence Day but it still was critically acclaimed.
ОтветитьWhether you guys can believe it or not, most of these films were beyond their time in ideas and visuals. Take the poster of The Frighteners. The X Men franchise has just now thought of using that idea in their hollywood film about the young mutants in an asylum. Pure New Zealand ingenuity
ОтветитьHeavenly Creatures is a masterpiece
ОтветитьId like to see Jackson return to this
ОтветитьI was so shocked these films were made before Lord of the rings and King Kong
ОтветитьFrighteners is one of the most overlooked films of the 90s
ОтветитьI wish he would go back to his roots. Making messy splatter films like his first three. All this stuff with computers is just getting old, I want to see modern films from him use more fake blood and ground beef.
ОтветитьUrgh. My ex-boyfriend made me watch "Meet the Feebles," and I've blocked most of it from my memory. >.<'
ОтветитьTo anyone who haven’t seen Bad Taste you legit need to it’s fucking awesome a bit on the amateur side but the special effects and aliens are badass.
ОтветитьHe should've directed the Star Wars prequel.
ОтветитьAnyone wish Jackson made more films like this?
ОтветитьDoes anyone know where I can watch 'The Valley' by Peter Jackson?
Ответитьthis is awesome and totally makes me admire Peter Jackson even more, thank you Dr.
ОтветитьJust watch this vid and subbed keep it up also I want pj to go back to a horror background in the future
ОтветитьMeet The Feebles is definitely my favorite film from Peter Jackson
ОтветитьBraindead adn Bad Taste are the best movies he ever made, the fact he made such films on such a small budget is unbelievable.
ОтветитьI quit watching Peter when he got big money. He should return to this no budget stuff. It's way better.
ОтветитьJust watched braindead. I was told the lawnmower scene is the worst, but seriously the dog and dinner scene was soooo gross.
ОтветитьJackson and Robert Rodriguez, are examples of; if you want to become a big filmmaker, you just gotta have the heart for it. Everything else is 2nd.
ОтветитьGreat Job on the video!
ОтветитьI like everything Peter Jackson BEFORE Lord of the Rings.
ОтветитьSo that's why the first encounter with Nazgul is so terrifying
ОтветитьBad Taste and Braindead (known as Dead Alive in some countries) are classics. Hilarious parodies of science fiction and zombie movies.
ОтветитьI rather not name them the "early films of Peter Jackson", rather call everything Lord of the Rings and further "the later films of Peter Jackson".
ОтветитьWhen PJ made Bad Taste, Dead Alive, and Meet the Feebles(Dead Alive in a theater is kick), he was brilliantly insane. When he did the Lord of the Rings films, and Frighteners, he was insanely brilliant.
ОтветитьI absolutely love his first three! Haven't seen forgotten silver. The other two are decent. Loved him as genius way before his fame in America
ОтветитьLove the video!
ОтветитьMy portrayal of descendants of Peter Jackson’s first 3 films:
Bad Taste-Couldn’t really find anything for a descendant
Meet the Feebles-Conkor’s Bad Fur Day
Braindead/Dead Alive-Happy Tree Friends
These are the Peter Jackson movies I love they're weird twisted and fun to watch
ОтветитьI grew with the Peter Jackson king kong
ОтветитьThe Early Films of Peter Jackson are garbage. Lord of the Rings totally saved his career and made him who he is.
ОтветитьImagine LOTR with splatter effects from Braindead. That would be a really good parody.
ОтветитьCome on, Criterion!!
Ответитьi sent a movie pitch to peter jackson like a couple weeks ago
ОтветитьI'm_ really_ love_ the_ background
music_ and_ Jackson_ work_ is_
very_ unrated_(lol!!!!)😍😍😔😔😁😁😳🎅🎅🌄🌄😄🐣🐣
I actually saw the 1st 4 films by Peter Jackson back in 2020. They were fascinating to see Jackson's beginnings before Lord of the Rings and King Kong. Bad Taste was a fun, quirky sci-fi horror B Movie that had an interesting plot of humans being captured as food for an alien fast-food restaurant. Meet the Feebles was just werid, it felt like if South Park or Rick & Morty made the Muppets and Sesame Street. Brain Dead is my favorite of the 4 which is a fun cheesy gory zombie movie with hilarious one liners. Heavenly Creatures was a beautifully sad & disturbing movie with an unforgettable terrifying ending that left me horrified.
ОтветитьHappy New Years 2023 🎉
ОтветитьLove the background music! Gives me vibes from the movie four rooms!
ОтветитьStill hanging out for an insane and badass Bad Taste sequel.
ОтветитьI saw "Brain Dead" many years ago. Disgusting yet brilliant.
ОтветитьBraindead has my favourite practical gore effects ever
ОтветитьPeter Jackson is best
ОтветитьI'll rather see his older films on repeat for months than the JJR films one time each.
Ответить8 years later and still no remastered versions of his first three films
