Wow, you completely pulled this off! 5 minutes about shop rags, and it was enjoyable and entertaining to watch! I actually have a pack of these I bought a while ago, never opened nor did a video about, I ended up with Lot # 69649. Same thing, some say it leaves red dye, some say red lint, but they said the same about your 46163. I shouldn't comment here as I haven't used them, but if you're wiping up volatile chemicals with these, I think the dye has the right to run. It's like wiping up bleach with them and the dye runs--of course it will! Some have said to wash them first, others say they shrink when you do, until I use mine I don't know.
I do have "magic blue shop rags" (not from Harbor Freight), they are paper infused with fiberglass, really tough stuff. I've gotten away with rinsing those out before a few times. Maybe I'll have to see about doing a review of my own on these rags, you know, some field testing.
Never bought the microfibers at HF, thought about it certainly, but I don't use them very often. It just leaves me wondering how much money you actually did leave there, and how many more videos we're going to see!
I got the red ones, and now I am looking for a good way to remove the dye. It bleeds red dye horribly, and it also leaves a lot of lint. I am hoping washing them will help. May soak them in bleach solution for an hour, rinse, then thow them in the washing machine.
ОтветитьLol..You didn't always do bike reviews:)..Now I'm going to watch a video about shop towels..haha
ОтветитьThese are not the old gas station rags you use to see in the pockets of the attendants! You can see right through the thing when you held it up. There is nothing to them. You'd be better off buying used ones from a linen service. At least they would have substance to them.
ОтветитьSoak them in a bucket and hand wash them then u laundry them or let them dry use them also use a degreaser why waste it
