Here's another comment. Why not? The only thing I wish some of these little boxes had was just a simple locking mechanism either with a key or a simple latch that would hold everything shut so it'd be harder for a kiddo to figure out.

Update: If your local location doesn't have it in stock currently, it'll be available for Black Friday. Just stopped by my local store to pick up a few things and saw the Black Friday ad at the cashier. Chatted up the staff and they couldn't straight up say when it would be available but hinted at it.

Original Comment: Portland, Or here. Just checked on the app and none of the Harbor Freight stores in the metro have the mini toolbox in stock and it's only available in store unfortunately. Agreed on the base drawer. If U.S. General made a base drawer to go pair with the mini toolbox, it'd a grand slam. Going to have to keep an eye out if the mini toolbox is in stock at Harbor Freight and snag one for myself right away. The U.S. General looks much better than the Kobalt.

Can't believe people are going crazy over a mini desktop toolbox. Sure, it's cool, but for me, it would only be good for hobby tools, but I already have that covered with an older double stack toolbox I got at Walmart years ago.

I went today to buy one and was told they've pulled them off the shelf in all stores because they were selling too fast. Cashier said they would be back on shelves 11/25.

Harbor Freight is not selling the mini tool box until November 22. They have ended in store sales.

My choice would be the 3 drawer Kobalt for $5. more

I'll guarantee they're going to come out with a 3-drawer bottom box for it to sit on just like Lowes did. The one thing that kept me from buying the Kobalt was no bearings on the drawers.

I bought 3...the manager had to go in the back, said they were 'on hold' for Black Friday...One Blue, One Red, and One Black...I wasn't waiting for the sale, I knew they'd be gone before I could get there.

They definitely messed up by not offering the full color range.

Please, Harbor Freight........ PLEASE make these in all the other US General tool box colors. I would buy several if they came in white like my tool box.

Make sure you are an Inside Track Club Member ($30 for a year) I say that because as an HF employee, stores have been instructed not to sell any of the mini boxes until black Friday sales start. Minimum inventory of 70. If the store has more than 70 before black Friday, they can sell. Come Tuesday the week of black Friday, they will be sold out and no rain check. HF can resolve the problem is with more inventory or limited number to sell each day so non members can get these. I got all 3 the first day we got them a week ago on Wednesday, and by Saturday afternoon sold out. Just a little inside information

I was just in HF last week with my daughter, and we kept saying we wish their toolboxes came in pink. I was considering getting the pink Cobalt, but now I think I'll wait for a purple or white US General.
