1. $2000
2. $60
3. $130
I was surprised the $60 sounded warmer
Also the driver, and CPU weight
ОтветитьBro this is hilarious wtf
ОтветитьCool. Thanks
ОтветитьHonestly the behringer one sounded the most natural…kinda wild
ОтветитьThe Neumann was simply louder. Psychoacoustic effect: Louder = better
ОтветитьGain and compressor difference. Dont waste your money
ОтветитьI have the 60 dollar one, I'm on my 6th album , it works just fine
Ответитьinterface = Analog > Digital
ОтветитьFantano??
ОтветитьMy phone speakers just told me that Neumann rocks
ОтветитьPlease tell your followers to do the test with their eyes closed, then you don’t get fooled by the name tag
ОтветитьMine is $4K but has 32 ins & outs. No doubt someone who knows what they're doing could do magic with a Scarlett 2i2.
ОтветитьAnd smart use of an eq can practically level out the playing field, sure its an extra step to get there soundwise, but the listener doesnt care about the process, just the sound theyre hearing. Id get the middle priced interface myself and make do, its still cheap.
ОтветитьSpend 5 minutes with an eq and save a thousand dollars... At least.
ОтветитьThe Neumann sounds like shit on my redmi 11 5g.. honestly the $60 sounds best on my phone speaker..
ОтветитьPops right out. Neumann blows the others away. You get what you pay for.
ОтветитьNeumann is transparent, UAD is transparent but has coloring.
Volt, SSL are coloured.
They all sounded the same to me.
ОтветитьNeumann does everything better
ОтветитьSurely u could eq / compress to get most of the way there with the Behringer?
ОтветитьNeumann sounds impressive but $1000 impressive NOOOOO
ОтветитьTo best honest your tone of voice on the last one is markedly didferent. You speak with a lower tone that sounds warmer. There is no way the neuman alters the sound to smooth out the highs we heard on the first two so dramatically and the timbre is clearly different.
ОтветитьTo start, you be lucky to get the drivers for the $60 interface anymore. At least I couldn't find them for mine.
ОтветитьYou didnt even gain match? Or maintain distance? Yikes
ОтветитьIts because the neumann have on board effects so its dialing in a better sound.
ОтветитьWonder how that Neumann would sound with a bass DI going through it
Ответитьnever forget, mic distance makes huge difference. notice how the behringer one he's speaking a bit softer and moving away from the mic, then to the audient, he's a little closer and more consistent with mic distance, then moving to the nuemann, idk if he bumped the gain or it's just louder than audient
ОтветитьLove this kind of short form content. Keep it up, dude! Very informative and to the point!
Ответитьthe nuemann signal is clearly a bit louder
ОтветитьWhat about the most important D/A and A/D that’s where “most” of cheaper ones fall down
ОтветитьBravo, you accomplished in a very short video, summing up the difference in range of interfaces. Well done.
ОтветитьPeople noticed the difference because you showed the price along with the audio. Do it blind like spectresoundstudio does and watch these fools pick the wrong sound lol.
ОтветитьWhat about the DAC?
ОтветитьI heard jo difference
ОтветитьThe second was brighter the Neumann had more depth.
ОтветитьHoly crap I just noticed you cause I have your cover of flume by Bon Iver in my playlist 💀
Ответитьdo you think you could get the cheapo interfaces to sound the same as the expensive one using EQ?
ОтветитьIt would be so interesting to do a comparison between these mic preamps by recording a white noise source into to the same exact microphone from the same source/distance etc., and then comparing the eq curve of each. You could also then apply an EQ curve to the cheap "neutral" mic pres and compare that to actual expensive mic pre's, and see how the difference stacks up then.
You wouldn't necessarily need an amazingly flat white noise source either so long as you're controlling all the variables the same for each comparison. I know that that's a bit nerdy/in depth but I'd be super interested to hear it. Obviously mic pres are more than just EQ, there's all such of other stuff going on too, but it would be interesting to hear how discernable the “other stuff” actually still is once you've compensated for EQ effects.
I have crap Logitech speakers hooked up to a macbook. I couldn't really tell the difference. Also, I am old and my ears are beat up. I guess the last one sounded a little brighter and cleaner, but maybe that is peer pressure.
ОтветитьTalk like a person.
ОтветитьI'm looking for a audio interface to record a 4 person podcast. I don't want to buy a crazy expensive used for music and all that when I don't need to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
ОтветитьVery nice, though you can get there much cheaper on any of these with processing if applicable
ОтветитьSo what your saying is that you use the Neumann for your videos, and it sounds to me like Joe Rogan probably uses the same one 😆
ОтветитьIf anything you can show off your $2000 paperweight
ОтветитьI have found that most audio interface’s mic preamps are too bright and sibilant with dynamic mics, to my ears.
ОтветитьMy sister's middle name IS Gertrude! And I call her Gerty to piss her off!
ОтветитьI don't hear a big difference between any of them
Ответить
