I know that I'm prejudiced, but that was a great video. You don't need to do load development, you need to figure out what that load is that you were shooting today.
ОтветитьAnother thoroughly enjoyable video. When did Marlin start installing safeties on the 336? Right around 83 I believe. Yeah I would definitely be leaving the scope on it it were my rifle but hey , it’s not is it? Really enjoy your videos. Merry Christmas and hope you have a good year.
ОтветитьNice video! I can put three shots on center at a hundred yards with our 35 using Hornady lever evolution ammo
ОтветитьCool video! Perfect light...fun shooting!
Ответить💗👍👍👍👏👏👏
ОтветитьGreat video. Nice shooting.
ОтветитьI have my granddad's .35 rem model 14.. I am very interested in your load recipe for the bullets. maybe you can do a video on that as well? Very glad to see this 35 punch out to that distance! merry xmas
ОтветитьThose gongs are a great addition! Punching paper is fine and all, but this turns you into a thinking man's hickock45 :) Looking forward to more long-range gong action!
ОтветитьIt’s Really Great to see So Many People Creating this re-surgance in the Round (35 Rem.) I know by the time I started Hunting 1979, it was already on the endangered list, now 2021 and is more recognized Now than the last 45 years!! We (shooters) are not willing to let another wonderful Big Game Cartridge go Extinct!
ОтветитьMy favorite DRT rifle and cartridge for deer.
ОтветитьWhere are you even getting this ammo from? I lucked into some, but the only times I’ve seen it after that had it going for crazy prices.
ОтветитьI love it when doubters become believers in the facts that leverguns aren’t just toys they’re proven capable work horses. 30-30, 35 Remington, 375 Winchester, 444 marlin. 44 magnum. So many folks don’t have faith in these rifles to kill game at distance outside 100 yards. Great video and good shooting by the way
ОтветитьFor reloaders of the 35 Rem I use 200 grain Barns TTSX bullets then load one in the chamber and round noise in the tube magazine.
This load kills everything graveyard dead!
My load is 36 grains of W740 powder under the 200 grain Barns TTSX bullet .
I get greatly improved accuracy from this load to 3/4 inch consistent groups @ 100 yards .
The round noise bullets group at 2 inches.
There isn't any reason why not to load this Barns bullet in the chamber first.
What’s the rail you have on that?
Ответить1,2,3,4 don't Fvck it up now! Lol!
Great shooter!
Anyone shooting lever actions I'm all for it... great rifle...dude try a peep sight it will improve your vision some. Try some ones elses to see. With a peep I'm still good out to 150yds my eyes are 60..
ОтветитьNothing will part me from my JM 35 Remington.....when it hits whitetails, you don't need to track them.
ОтветитьI have a 336 in .35rem and I like it. The 35 packs a punch with a 200 grain bullet and is big medicine. A very capable rifle and caliber. I put a peep sight on mine. I use mine for hogs and deer and my shots are rarely over 75 yards and most are 50 yds or less.
ОтветитьOutstanding !! your friend burned up a box of ammo and I heard one gong ring. Hilarious.
ОтветитьApproximate drop at 240?
ОтветитьI love the video , What scope mounts are good for the marlins ? and which scope are your using ?
ОтветитьHow much base to you want? I can send some your way.
ОтветитьI’d be interested to see how you do with a little more powerful scope. Nice vid!
ОтветитьA few years ago I pickup a Marlin 336 in 35 Remington. I took it out to the Black Hills of South Dakota deer hunting. Unfortunately I never got a shot.until the next trip . I did fill my tag with a 5x5 Whitetail Buck I used my 280 Browning A bolt I shot 3 deer in three days with it
ОтветитьWith my 1967 Marlin 336RC 35 Remington loaded with Hornady 200 grain LeverEvolution I can keep 5 shots inside a 6 inch circle at 200 yards offhand. That's with 3-9 scope set about 4 power. Haven't tried any farther. Not planning on trying any shots at deer farther than that and preferably closer.
ОтветитьLever Evolution bullets are the bomb. I can shoot that far with my .444 no problem.
ОтветитьDid you ever get any further on the 357 ammo loads?
Ответить35 Remington is pure deer medicine.
ОтветитьWhat does the age of the rifle have to do with its accuracy?
ОтветитьAge of age of the gun doesn't matter up six up six or seven left four you'll hit the metal all day long
ОтветитьYou're making it out to be like it's hard to do this it's simple everybody knows it's simple maybe something like 400 yd but for god sakes it's 150 yards
ОтветитьDon't blame the age of the rifle on your wide groups ! That wide spread is NOT good ! You need to stick to whatever day job you got, because you suck at shooting and knowledge of firearms !
ОтветитьImpressive
ОтветитьJust found the video… I myself am a Marlin .336 .35 Remington lever action owner and I too have had good luck with 200+ yard shots… good video great rifle.. take care brother
ОтветитьYes! 35 Rem for the win!
ОтветитьYou know, it's not a 1000 yd cartridge. I don't see why these straight wall states won't allow 35 Rem and 30-30 to be used when the new straight walls shoot as far. These two rounds are well over 100 yrs. old and tons of hunters already use them. IL only allows single shots, yet you can still have 3 rounds in a 200 yard slug gun. DUH !
ОтветитьVery good shooting. Go to a 4x you’ll be hitting at 500yds.
ОтветитьEver try the Speer 180grs? I’m considering it in my 356win. Interesting video.
ОтветитьNice range. Where is it?
ОтветитьThe 35 Rem is accurate with a load I likes. I hand load a 200 grain cast hollow point with 40 grains of varget. At200 yards it shoots MOA. It drops about 9” at 200 yards when zeroed at 100 yards. The big issue is figuring out the drops and where to aim at longer distances. I don’t shoot over a 100 yards with mine deer hunting but it’s fun to see how far it will shoot accurately.
ОтветитьMy 35 has been consistent at 250 yds, and the new "Leverlution" 35s are consistent to 350. You need a scope for that because hunting on the fly you don't have time to adjust that rear sight and you can't see the target at angle of trajectory. Love my 35, carried for 45+ years. Whitetail, Mulie, and Elk never more than one 200gr shot. Brush buster from 1906.
ОтветитьIf you are shooting 240 yards with the pumpkin slinging 35 Remington you're holding twenty feet above the target
ОтветитьLove it! I have a 1963 336C in 35 Rem with a Redfield 3-9-X50 and it's dead nuts at 100 yards and 2 1/4" low at 200 running Hornady Leverevolution 200gr FTX.
ОтветитьWeird background noise.
ОтветитьAwesome.
