i blame de-lite records for kool & the gang not being more popular and forcing them to try to conform with “popular music,” which almost led to their demise before JT. but also their distribution-why would this not be released as a single? it’s so much better than hangin out on this album

I was 22 when the "Ladies Night" album broke out. It was the height of my night clubbing social execitement amid the so called disco era in America.

Yeah, as a follower of Kool & The Gang urban jazzy/smokey funk sound. I was blown away by the group's revamped commercialized slick pop music style.

I didn't get into various reasons for liking and disliking K&TG pivotal change. I was busy enjoying music and life in general as the 1980s rolled in.

To me, "If You Feel Dancing" is K & TG is the most overlooked and underplayed song 🎵 as the disco sound popularity began to fade.

You don't know what this song means to me, my teenage years wanting to discover everything and this beat came along and pulled me to the dance floor!
