The Southern Coast of SA is a wonderful place. You've captured the power and majesty of the Southern Ocean so evocatively. Only a painting could capture this. Photographs never capture the awesome intensity of nature in the raw. Great piece, Richard. Petral Cove is one of my favourite haunts and this work puts me there again.

You used the amount of paint in 40 minutes that I used the past 4 paintings. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. This was an excellent video

Loved this tutorial. Can you tell me what kind of acrylic paint you used. I see the colors that you used -- but did you have them mixed at a hardware store or a paint store? ilateral do not paint in such large size, but I can see how it would save a lot of $$ to get paint from a home depot or similar instead of buying from an art store or on line.

G'day Richard! Just discovered your channel as a newbie to the palette knife, you're an awesome teacher! I struggle with landscapes but using the knife has opened up a whole new world for me. I also know nothing about oils and have only ever painted in acrylics/watercolour, what are your opinion of water-based oils? BTW seeing all that magnificent Ozzie coastline is brilliant and it makes me want to go on a holiday 😁 Thanks again
