Semi automatic gears should be an option. At least then you choose a gear you want for corners and use automatic for straights.

I wish I could dim the braking zone. It is so bright. I know I just need to learn them with out the zone, but I like driving all different pp and different tracks. Memorizing all the cars with all the tracks is not practical as a casual player.

P.S. I will ABS default

I always enable these assists.
I will never turn them off.
I will still be on automatic gears. Manual transmissions are not my thing. I will only short-shift if it's necessary.
I will forever set the traction control level to 5. If I set it to 0, I will spin out most of the time.
I will continue to use traction control 5 in the rainy conditions.
I will not use this as a tuning aid.
I will never turn on auto-drive.
Why should I turn off active stability management? I don't care if it's holding me back.

So ppl too young to remember do not know how abs works. Essentially, it hits the brake a ton of times. Lifting off and on the brake when it’s applied (pumping the brakes). IF you slam on the brakes in a non abs car, it’s going to lock the brakes, which is what is suppose to happen. To counter this and have better control than with abs, you have to pump the brakes when abs is turned off. You’re welcome.

Is ASM and counter steering worth for when starting on SPORT mode? Everyone is super dirty and rams people or try to tip cars when getting passed. I noticed it helped me a lot to prevent spinning due to dirty drivers. My plan is to turn it off again once I get out of the bottom tiers. What you think?

Thank you for this. I've been using the brake area and drive line assist, and I know it's been affecting me negatively. But I was hesitant to turn them off as I don't have all tracks memorized. I didn't realize how the brake indicator worked, but thanks to this video I do now. I also didn't know you could turn the drive line off but still have your corner pins still on. Hopefully, I can start getting into gold now, as the only one I did get was the viper at Daytona, and that was a perfect example of TC helping. On turn, 2 hair pin was where I'd lose time or completely lose control of the car, so I had to be light on acceleration out of the turn. TC 2 gave me just enough grip to be more aggressive on the throttle out, making up the .2 seconds I needed for gold. Still have a lot to learn, and I strictly drive in VR. The game can really get under my skin because when I was younger, we had a racetrack in Fremont California where we could race if we signed a waiver. I raced my 71 Mustang Boss 302, 67 Camaro, and 69 General Lee Dodge Charger. I was very good at it, and I know I could be really good in GT7 if I had a motion simulator so I could feel traction slipping. You really can be great when you are one with your car, which you just can't get without feeling the road under your tires.
Maybe you can tell me about the dailies and qualifying time trial. When you set your best lap time, does that time count for your start position in all races on that track, or do you have to do a qualifier for each race? Thanks

Hi, when you say the automatic gears arnt that bad in this game, id like to know how much a lap you can gane in manual to automatic? Only reason is im a lot faster in automatic, im generally 1.5secs off the top time in TT in daly race C. In manual im 0.5 sec slower than my fastest time in automatic, i just cant get my head around it.

All assists off they get in my way more than they seem to help, but I do used braking reference points like that 🌲 or that patch of grass 😂

Gt7 literally saved my life. Was heading down a country road and Lady rolled stop sign. After 2 years of swerving and maintaining control after 1 of you maniacs hits me to knock me out of the race I swerved and after got hit was able to control the spin back on to the road. Had I not it would have been much worse . Death or in hospital. Didn't panic and hit straight on. Memory muscle took over. Was amazing . Will tell the story on my channel soon. Thank God for vr😅

Go tune the car.. get a ballast.. lower the rear and front for down force and abs low… these cars are gt7 are some fat lady’s. U can also max torque the ratio , advance gear shift ratio

As a casual player, turning off driving line was similar to changing from automatic to manual in making the game so much more enjoyable. The driving line is definitely helpful for people unfamiliar with motorsports, but there comes a point when you don’t really need it anymore, and turning it off really amplifies your sense of being connected to the car and in control. That’s why I compare it to manual, which also makes you feel more like you’re in control. It’s quite immersive to have to think about the corners and check your speed, track your gears mentally and count down as you break or whatever, rather than just following a line and pushing a button when it’s red. Assists are great of course and people shouldn’t hesitate to use them if they’re struggling but once you’re comfortable, turning them off (at least the line and automatic) is really worthwhile.
