If we see Betelgeuse explode from earth, then it already happened centuries ago. it's 642 light years from us, we can only see it as it was 642 years ago. if we see it supernova in our lifetime, it means it blew up long before we were born, or our great grandparents.

I would say, we do not know, and furthermore, we probably can ot venture a good guess.

A Corona Discharge Ozone Generator is scalable and can create very large amounts of ozone. Given that a Supernova could deplete the ozone layer enough to make Earth uninhabitable for a time, why not prepare for the worst and get ready? The ozone layer also protects us from harmful UV radiation (Skin cancers) so, would it hurt to boost it now, with machines ready to save us if/when the worst case comes?
I would also be interested to know how far down under the earth/ocean would be ''safe''.

What geometry would be the best to deal with that?

A type of sphere, or essentially like a sound dampener?

Wouldn’t that essentially Harken back to physics when you do the egg drop test? Except you’re dealing with supernova or something similiar

We humans will take ourselves out.
Surprised we're not gone already to be honest.
We're so smart and so dumb at the same time.

There is also Antares another red super giant star about 500 light years away. It too is in its last days. It may even go nova before Betelgeuse!

LIES LIES LIES> Evolution is a failed Theory. There are NO Links between Kinds of Animals or Species. Look at the Fossil Record. According to Darwin's Evolutionary Theory of Natural Selection, his theory would absolutely fail if it could be shown that Species did NOT proceed in a SLOW and SURE Process. The Fossil record has NO Trial species of Iterations from one established species to move to a new and better Natural Selection elements than before. According to Darwin, those trial species of moving from one species to another should OUTNUMBER the Fossils of Established Species because of the number of trials necessary to move from one species to another. Slowly and Surely, a Species should move to another Species that can survive and thrive, which is required for his theory to be true.
The fact that the fossil Record has NO INTER-TRANSITIONARY FOSSIL SPECIES proves Evolution is Wrong.
Evolution is wrong for another reason in that Evolution requires Life to come from NON-Life. Life can not come from Rocks, and Life can not come from Slime or primordial Ooze. Also, the Big Bang cannot be true as all Matter cannot come into existence from NON-MATTER or NOTHING. The Universe of Galaxies and Solar systems cannot come from NOTHING. Nothing creates Nothing. Matter can create matter but Nothing cannot create Matter. The Big Bang cannot come from Nothing and also be in Perfect, precise balance so precise that a billionth of a change in the ratio of the balance would be instant annihilation.
The 1/137 ratio everywhere in the Universe is a precise measure of an Intelligent GOD who designed HIS World to be in precise balance and forms. ALL OF the Best minds cannot explain 94-96% of the Universe. They use MADE UP Names like: Dark Energy, Dark Matter, or Dark Flow, for galaxies whose movement is unexplained.

Now imagine some dirty minded scientists conspire with equally minded politicians and media and start pumping hundreds of billions of dollars into building sophisticated (though useless) computer simulation models aiming to convince the general public that a supernova mass extinction is already starting and they (the public) are the somehow the culprits of quickly depleting planetary protection layers, so everyone has to throw away their SUVs, vacation overseas, meat eating habits and flush their toilets once a week.
Brrrrr, no, not a chance of this ever happening! Right?

Thinking about rogue planets and other larger bodies is kind of terrifying. Even if by a small chance we did see them coming, there would be absolutely nothing we can do unless we have a literal Death Star. Just flying near our orbits can change our delicate balance and destroy life. They don't even need to touch us.

What distance would be safe for earth if the sun went nova? The sun doesn’t have to explode to kill earth. The sun only needs to burp in the wrong direction, and life as we know it would be gone.

So we're asking our subscribers to 1. switch their subscriptions from "PERSONAL" to "ALL" (just click on the subscribe button and you'll see it) and 2. Watch new episodes as soon as they can!
