Thoughts on General Conference October 2021 - President Dallin H. Oaks on the Need for a Church

I discuss the doctrine of a true and living Church. God promotes not simply generic goodness, but organized righteousness. He values truth, ordinances and covenants rather than chance, chaos and casualness. He desires to give us a clear means for dispensing His doctrines, knowing His laws, obtaining His mysteries, receiving His rituals and sensing His powers. His church is the means by which we gain full access to all the blessings of God in time and eternity. To draw close to God's church is to obtain a living and vital assurance of promises that are magnificent in scope and scale. While our love for others will endure eternally, it is only through His church that we can inherit eternal lives with our families. The splendor of exaltation is amazing and stunning.
