The anthem is quite Schumannian: The very first bar is practically identical to the Scherzo in Wien Carnaval :D

I really liked the Hirajoshi movement, where you emphasized the Hirajoshi scale on the left hand while using a Romantic melody on the right. Most composers just put the Hirajoshi emphasis on the melody and uses dissonance harmony on the left. But I like your interpretation much better. Maybe I'm just overanalyzing this..

I've been on a binge of covers and reinterpretation of the Chinese national anthem, and this is easily one of the best. That melody just feels good anywhere it is.
